We stayed for 4 day and it was a wonderful experience, because the service staff are kind hard working people. We felt so welcomed and will definitely come back. To be able to stay in such a gorgeous neighborhood in Beverly Hills at the price we paid, is more than a great deal!
Somethings I would suggest are the rooms getting a little bit of renovation. Our room’s wood floor had so much scratches, the lights were not bright enough and the switch is hard to use. Still I would recommenthis beautiful hotel, due its affordability and the amazing staff.
Great boutique hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills. Perfect for an overnight stay when my son graduated UCLA. Rooms were small yet sufficient for me and my husband - clean, well kept, and classy. We were able to skip the $35 or $40 valet and easily self-parked for $12 in lot across the way.
Nice, simple,, quiet, and convenient - and the area was not congested. That’s hard to find in this part of LA.
I stayed here for a work trip, and everyone was amazing. From the friendly valet staff to the helpful front desk crew. I also ate at their cute restaurant inside and staff again was very friendly and food was amazing. The hotel was super stylish in color, design, and photography that were on all the walls. My room was clean and everything I needed, also the best part was the very comfortable bed. Shopping and food, and the grocery store was walking distance. I will be back!!!
My 3rd time staying in this hotel. Great vibe, and location. Quaint, charming and the opposite of any chain hotel. Sonder made check in and bldg/room access easy. Great communication from booking to check out.
This is the letter I wrote them.||Dear Sonder,|Please let me explain the reason for my failing score on my recent stay. Let me say the location of the hotel was the only positive that we enjoyed during our stay.|First off, when we entered the room and saw the tight quarters, we were a little shocked. The bathroom is certainly dated and could use some definite updating, The sink looked knocked out of place. The shower and bathroom floor with the rough concrete look was a little intimidating. The drain cover in the shower not being secured was also a nice touch that we found out the hard way.|Then, after traveling all day on Tuesday April 9th, (day we checked in) we decided to retire early for the evening. We were awoken at 9:00 PM by three of the restaurant kitchen staff, sitting in chairs eating their dinner outside our window talking and laughing loudly without care of disturbing patrons. I finally had enough and decided to open the shade and asked them to shut up. |Because of this ground level window with staff continuously outside we were unable to open our shades or curtains and made our stay feel as if we were in a cave. (I have pictures and hope I can supply them here).|The following day we were getting ready to go out for the day. We were going to lock some things up into the safe that was inoperative, not to mention not even secured in the cabinet. In my opinion that even defeats the purpose of a safe if it can be picked up and carried away.|My Fiancé decided to contact the desk about the safe and the noise complaint from the night before. They finally were able to bring us another non secured safe into the room and told us the restaurant was informed about the noise and it would not happen again. At that time, we decided to ask for no room service and just requested towel exchange. We were not comfortable with people in our room at this point. |That night we were out with people late and came home late and went right to bed. We did not notice any noise as again we were really exhausted.|Thursday night (our last night) we had a nice dinner at the Italian place one block over. We then decided to pack up some stuff and stay in for the evening to watch some TV. At about 10:00PM we were again awakened by excessive noise outside our room from what we believe to be either kitchen staff or maintenance.|To say the least we will not choose to stay with you in this location again.|I am still deciding which review sites to share this with as I am a member of several.||Regards,||This was their Lack Luster reply.||Thank you for the candid feedback after your recent stay with us. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with the noise keeping you up at night was not up to Sonder standards. Please reach out to us during your next stay and let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable. We’d love the chance to make it up to you in the future.
Easy process, great value (was in my company’s budget), safe/convenient location, clean and comfortable. I tried the restaurant Nua just once but would go back. (Based on my glancing at other reviews, I may have lucked out with a more updated room. If you are sensitive to noise, might need to check where your room is located. But, with the fan/ac on low, I wasn’t bothered.)
Horrible bed in the paid for upgraded king. Two twins pushed together to form a king?! that was like sleeping on a roof. Peak in the middle. Almost comical. Sheets of very low grade thread count. Air conditioner is covered by curtains. So the choice was feeling air conditioning or leaving curtains open and waking up to morning light. And cleaning of room and changing sheets and towels not included but can be arranged for $45. Bathroom was good sized. Friend’s room was tiny with a really tiny bathroom. Hard pass on ever returning here.
Location is amazing but rooms need a really good renovation; there is too much sound (fridge, ventilation, outside sounds). Also the walking area is limited, the sockets are limited too. Ease of entering into the rooms is easy, it is done by password.
