First time visit, 4 adults, didn't know much about the place.
We parked and just started walking around we weren't sure about where to pay. We enjoyed seeing the animals outside, and we then came to place you go inside and pay. We were greeted by the friendly staff. Then we walked saw the inside animals. For not being a super big place, we spent 2 hours there, staying for their educational show.
We left with education on a the Conservancy & the animals, we were impressed the amount of staff that were there to answer your questions. They also have a cute little gift shop with lots of adorable stuff animals, some cute earrings and other little things.
I think this is a great place that helps animals, the staff truly love what they do. I plan on coming back again it was fun!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a private zoo tour on Sunday (9/24/23) and it was such a great time!! Our tour guide (Jake or Jacob sorry I have a bad memory) was fantastic! He was very friendly, welcoming, and informative. We learned all sorts of information about the start of the conservancy and all the animals that we got to visit. I 100% would recommend doing a private tour!!
The animals are so well cared for here! The enclosures are spacious, well-designed and animals get a lot of enrichment. Staff are super friendly and always willing to share their knowledge about the animals. This zoo is the perfect size for a family visit, no long walks and very family friendly. Great conservation message, this place is a real gem in Ann Arbor.
So much fun! Shows to watch and learn about different animals all afternoon. Animals you can pet. A station for crafts and they and baby bunnies to hold!
I call this my happy place. On average, I visit twice a month. They have great events, including creatures of the night, trivia events, Halloween events and Valentines events. All events are educational presenting featured animals with interesting facts and entertaining stories. Steve, the founder of the non-profit organization, is very witty and humorous. They also have monthly featured animals on stage on the first Friday of the month and on most weekends, different animals each month. Clearly, the animals are very well taken care of. I never get sick of seeing them. The staff which includes animal behaviorists, are clearly very passionate and fond of these animals. Many of them are rescues, meaning animals that could not survive in the wild due to disabilities and Also Animals rescued from the exotic pet trade. They have also done presentations and special events for schools. It is my hope, that the information they provide helps people, especially children, Develop a passion for and see the benefit of many animals, Especially species that are misunderstood and Unappreciated. If you haven’t been there, I bet you’ve never seen a clouded leopard. Kya seems to love attention and provides many photo worthy moments. In terms of comparing it with the Detroit Zoo, there is very little overlap.
This is a really great place to take the littles to see a fun assortment of cool animals! Plenty to see indoors and outdoors! The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly! You can really tell how much they love and care for these animals. If you stop in make sure to say hi to Harper and Al!
The Creature Conservancy staff are all friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly passionate about their amazing variety of animals. They have never disappointed no matter whether I've been casually visiting, participating in an onsite event, or experiencing their traveling programs. Come check them out and support their wonderful creatures.
Definitely recommend checking this place out! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and so nice, and the "critters" are insanely cute!!

Jess B. was so incredibly helpful and patient with me, because I had a lot of questions. She made sure that I got to try several different shoes so that I could pick which one was best for me. She is so incredibly knowledgeable about the running worl
