The Cove - Public beach in Mays Landing - 577 Park Rd, USA

A nice place to go with kids. The cove has a playground and lake for swimming, picnic tables and grills for anyone who would like to barbecue. Although there are two lifeguard stations, I have not seen a lifeguard on duty. It’s important for parents to keep a close eye on their children when in the water all the times. Unfortunately, when there is no lifeguard the restrooms are closed. The lake water is dark, I wouldn’t wear any white. Overall, it’s a nice place.

Im not one to give 5 Stars BUT The Cove was quaint n quiet many groups of people grilling and swimming all listening to their music at volumes tht was not intrusive to other parties and every one on beach and water intermingled nicely … The staff were Teens and very nice kids the kept close watch and were very attentive to guest at the location ….

Our family has been going since I was a child, and I’m so glad it’s still here for my kids. The staff is welcoming and helpful- with plenty of bandaids for the little falls. The lifeguards do an excellent job balancing safety and fun. I appreciate the effort management makes to keep it clean, respectful and family oriented. It’s a thankless job, but the whole Cove team makes an effort to keep families entertained and safe when closures are necessary by keeping the sand and swing areas open for play. It’s our favorite summertime outing!

Beautiful lake to enjoy alone or with family. Grill & tables are available to rent. Staff is pleasant.

The fact that we pay to come here just to have one power hungry lady and a bunch of lazy teenagers tell us we can't swim because of the smallest amount of algae amazes me...if I knew how to attach a picture to this review I would just to show how insane this is. If your gonna control when my kids can have a good time make it free...or offer an at your own risk waiver.

I love to go see the sunset on nice days. I have not been inside the actual beach in years but you can rent a table and grill. Have to purchase passes for the season or daily pass.

Nice enough place but broken glass is easily found here, and the water is very warm so it's not as refreshing as or could be. Other wise life guards are nice and the place isn't too crowded. Cannot have any floatation devices in the water though (pool noodles tubes ect)
