The Cotton Sail Hotel Savannah, Tapestry Collection by Hilton - Hotel in Savannah - 126 W Bay St, USA

As a local, I know the history of the building and have always wanted to stay there. For our anniversary, my boyfriend got us a river view room. Gorgeous view. Beautiful very clean rooms. Easy check in and out process. The top deck has amazing food. The absolute best thing is he proposed to me there. So this hotel will forever hold a memory in my heart.

Would not recommend to stay at this hotel. Stayed here from 12.30.23-1.1.24. As Hilton Gold member this place was a disaster. I am so disappointed with the stay here on New Years. As a boutique hotel it's far from being cozy, intimate, and having customized service for customers. There are multiple entrances to the property, with a public restaurant on the roof and therefore there is an array of people streaming through the floors and elevators. As a gold member we were given a city view (this is the floor above the street level). It is not an impressive view by any means. There were balcony river view rooms available online for booking at time of check in but we were not upgraded due to lack of "availability". The room was okay at first glance, however there were many questionable stains on the curtains and lamps, cracked bedside lamp cover, dust, lack of hot water in the shower, mildew smell in the bathroom, sticky hardwood floors, no mini fridge. The room rate was $520 a night which is simply ridiculous given the service provided by the staff and accommodation. There are only two good things about this place was the valet staff and the location. Yes valet is expensive and yes it took 10 minutes (which isn't ideal) for your car to come but the staff are friendly and efficient. Location is good along the river front and we were able to walk to most of the city.

I loved my room and the property. The view was perfect. I had room 523 on the corner. The balcony over looked the river. The location on River Street was great. My bed was comfortable. The room was clean and in good repair. The noise wasn’t too bad considering the location underneath the bar. I would get this room again.

The hotel has a great location, the rooms are in good condition, but the hotel lacked in other areas. We checked in and went to the Nest to order drinks and just some fries. About 20 mins later, the server comes and says they can't do fries since it was brunch... at this time, we still hadn't gotten our drinks. The drinks were awful (new bartendar on a beautiful 70 degree day at a rooftop bar). The server comped them and we left, the table next to us also left without anyone ever greeting them. We go to another restaurant and one friend who joins late comes and tells me my car is sitting in valet with a flat tire. No one called me and then valet told me it was already like that. It wasn't, we would've all noticed. Thank goodness my friend saw it because we were only there for a night and Sunday, everything was closed. I will give a big shout out to Jaylen though!! When we returned hours later with a repaired tire, he immediately said "how can I help", even asked if I had a jack so he could replace it. I already had help on the way, but he was the first to ask those words and really that's all I wanted to hear earlier. So thank you to him!

Awful. Dirty. Loud. And everything everybody else said. A piece of wood from the window fell off and hit my daughter on her foot. I'm not even sure why anybody would allow it to be loose like that. You should know that this hotel has a rooftop bar and another bar with a DJ situation that is not affiliated with the hotel, so there are very random people in and out of the floors. The lady at the front said not to have our pizza delivered to outside our room because it would be "swiped". If you are looking for quiet and cozy, I promise this is not it. The floors were so nasty. The chairs and bench were stained so nasty in both of our rooms. Yuck. Pick somewhere else to go.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cotton Sail Hotel in Savannah. The front desk staff was terrific and the hotel was clean and it appeared updated. The top floor bar/restaurant offers great views of River St and the Savannah river. The hotel staff was friendly (as most of the people we met in Savannah) I do not recommend the restaurant food based on my one breakfast experience but I cannot comment on lunch and dinner food. Maybe the breakfast cook was not as skilled. I do recommend the bar on the top level. Service was good, the drinks were good and the views spectacular. Overall, a good experience.

Cracker box room. Ac hardly worked. Drab decor. Poor cleaning. Wooden floors were sticky. Beneath Hilton Standards. Over 400 per night and room was like maybe a 129 per night interstate one or two star. Terribly disappointing because stayed in 2019 and experience was great. Staff at top deck is understaffed. Slow and could not care any less.

Rooms very small. Shower is behind the bathroom door which has to be closed before you can get to it. Will get wet when turning on shower due to where shower head is located. TV is wall mounted in wooden box at the end of the bed and you'll need to tilt your head when you walk by to prevent hitting it on the corner. It is in a great location to walk around the historic district and we had a great view of the river. Terrible coffee with no dairy based cream options anywhere in the hotel. Recommend making the short walk down to Black Rifle Coffee Company if you want a delicious cup of coffee!
