The Cottage - Restaurant in Crystal Lake - 6 E Crystal Lake Ave, USA

Little bar in down town Crystal lake. Good vibes, the staff always takes care of us. I had their prime rib sandwich on Texas toast with mozzarella, no horse radish sauce but a side of their creamy ranch, and they’re seasoned fries. Meat was tender and juicy. Sandwich was delicious, fries were crispy. 10/10 will eat again.

I stopped in for a solo meal and tried the steak and ale pie from the winter menu; very flavorful and the meat was tender. Definite tavern vibes; you could tell that a lot of the folks around the bar were frequent visitors and had a good rapport with the staff. That made for a friendly atmosphere, but also a bit loud if you're not part of the group making the noise. Surprise: a pub is like a pub!

The burgers are really good! I enjoy the free popcorn and peanuts, it really adds to the cool atmosphere of the place. We tried venturing to other areas of the menu but were rather disappointed with the results - but still would recommend coming here for the burgers and drinks!

Parking is a bit tricky, be prepared to park a bit away. The food was great with a fantastic Irish pub menu. Service was friendly and accommodating!

For the very first time we went somewhere different. Other than what we normally go to it was really awesome. It was great. The server Crystal rocked it tonight. She was very accommodating. Loved her to pieces. We got a pepper jack cheese burger with avocado, lettuce, tomato and onion with fries and it tasted so good while my wife got a Caesar salad with steak. Pretty unusual when you figure Caesar with chicken, but the steak gave it really good compliment. Gave it a really nice compliments on the Caesar salad. It was actually pretty good Will we go back over there again? Yes we will. And I want to thank the staff for actually doing a great job.

I went to visit the Cottage in Crystal Lake monday night to sample their fabulous Monday night special of jumbo shrimp. Once again The Cottage did not disappoint and delivered once again. My server/bartender Danielle handled a very busy night all by herself In a very organized and efficient manner. Her personality and demeanor invited you to stay even longer than what you intended to stay. Interacting with who I found out to be the regulars who were Frank, Mick McHenry, and John made it all the more an enjoyable experience.

Outdoor area is fantastic! I love that it's cozy even when it's chilly. Tasty bloody mary, and the winter drink list sounds delish

The frozen drinks were great! The banana daiquiri was perfect for a hot summer evening. Nice casual atmosphere.
