The Copper Rocket - Featured Reviews (704)
I rarely write reviews with this intensity, but our experience at The Copper Rocket was a test of patience and truly a culinary debacle. From the moment we stepped in, the establishment seemed chaotic and lacking in basic customer service. There was no warm greeting, no staff to guide us to a table, leaving us to fend for ourselves.
After twiddling our thumbs for 20 long minutes, we took the initiative to approach a waitress and fetch our own menus. A restaurant's first impression is paramount, and at this point, we should've recognized the red flags and departed. But in the spirit of giving a second chance, we decided to order.
My appetite was modest, so I opted for the deep-fried Oreos. Others in our group sought heartier meals like the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Club Wrap, and a Club Sandwich. Josie, our server, was the one silver lining amidst this chaos. She was visibly overwhelmed, having to handle the entire floor alone and juggle drink-making due to an uncooperative bartender. Her sincere apologies resonated, but it's the management and kitchen that need a serious re-evaluation.
The inconsistency in delivering our orders was frustrating. First came the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, then a prolonged wait, and an eventual revelation that they'd run out of turkey for the other dishes! To add insult to injury, after what felt like an eternity, they admitted they couldn’t even provide the deep-fried Oreos due to a lack of batter.
To the management of The Copper Rocket: your inefficiency is costing you more than just a negative review. If you aren't able to ensure basic service standards, perhaps it's best to reconsider your place in the restaurant industry. As a reviewer, I evaluate based on met expectations. I've praised establishments that deliver on their promises, regardless of their stature. The Copper Rocket, despite its spotlight on "Bar Rescue", clearly needs more than a mere rescue. Jon Taffer would be livid with such mismanagement.
To potential patrons, I'd advise you to reconsider your choice. Your time, money, and appetite deserve better. I hope The Copper Rocket reflects on this feedback and initiates a radical change for the betterment of its future patrons.
Went here last night (Monday night). My friend and I were two of only 8 people in the whole establishment. The food was sub par. Paid $17 for 10 grilled wings, that weren’t coated enough in the sauce they were grilled in. Furthermore, when I got done with my wings I went to take a bite out of the carrot sticks that came with them, and I kid you not the carrots were rotten. We definitely will mot be back.
Great food and The BC Band 3.0 was great. Hope they return.
Julius was polite and effective with the orders and helped with suggestions. The place was clean and had a constant theme. Food was good quality and overall the bill was very fair. We had the nachos and mozzarella sticks and tried a few different drinks. They were nice enough to put the world cup on for us. I'd like to stress that Julius was an amazing server and I'd be back just because of his amazing service and kindness.
Parking was plentiful. Nice patio area. Will be back to try the pizza. Thanks copper rocket, and thanks Julius!
I echo what the reviewer Peter posted. The greeting was liminal at best and clearly got the impression that wasn’t going to receive service for placing a to go order. The bartender was tending to other patrons but mind you there were only 3 yet a lively boisterous bunch. Which you’re at a bar, let the good times roll, but in no way did the bartender provide a menu and took a few minutes to acknowledge my presence even though was making eye contact with him.
Glad I read Peter’s review and left!
I’ve ordered food twice and both times it was wrong, lol. First time I let it slide they forgot ranch and blue cheese for the wings. Second time I ordered two pretzels and I guess they hand type it in because they only typed one but UberEats refunded the pretzel. I have the receipt and they STILL FORGOT DRESSING even though it’s listed. They clearly are lazy as this is the second time in a week period from ordering. Next time I’ll pick it up so I can tell them to their face because they clearly need to be micromanaged. Buffalo sauce is very vinegar forward so be warned.
Went here on a Monday night with a couple of co-workers/buddies of mine. They were pretty busy for a Monday night due to Monday Night Football as well as an office Xmas Party they were attending to. Even with all that going on, it was a great place and what you would expect from a typical a bar! Good drinks, good food, but our server is what really made our experience fantastic. Didnt really notice anyone else working in there besides her and the bartender, so she mustve definitely been busy. But still took the time chat with us, make sure we had everything we need, never disappeared for long periods of time, and was just an all around incredible beautiful soul of inspiration. The manager definitely need to give Leighann a raise. Kudos indeed.
They need to hire a new bartender ( older lady, long hair, glasses ) with a better attitude, I watched the bartender physically push aside our server (who by the way was absolutely amazing and sweet) come over and ask for smaller bills. We mentioned breaking $100 next door. I asked my fiancé to go and she went her self. The bartender then came back and made a point to say that they were able to break it but it was all that was left in their till! Gave us a nasty face and rushed away. This was our first time here and IF we come back and that same bartender is behind the bar we are leaving. The bartender couldn’t even make a decent dirty gin martini…. Let alone know what a Tim Collins was……. 🤦🏻♀️ absolutely disgusting behavior for her to put her hands on someone. Our server Ava was attentive, sweet, and amazing. Everything we ordered from the menu was good.
