The Cook and Her Farmer - Oyster bar restaurant in Oakland - 510 9th St, USA

Came here a bit before closing time as a group of 5 and enjoyed the dishes we got, which were mostly seafood but also some non-seafood ones. I particularly enjoyed the Fisherman's Stew. Overall, a good spot with communal seating shared by other restaurants too.

Nice cafe with fresh oysters, mussels and other menu items. Visited with a group after a team meeting. There is plenty of indoor / outdoor seating for small to large groups. Waitstaff are friendly and service is quick. This place sits adjacent to an Asian cafe, Cupcake station and meat / Sausage stand. Eclectic makeup of food offerings.

Friendly fast services. My favorite is the fresh made Lemonade. I like the burger and todays PoBoy Catfish sandwich was amazing. Fresh bread fresh fish and a tangy coleslaw with slices of dill pickles. So good.

One of the best seafood soups I have ever had. I am usually disappointed when I order ciopinno type dishes, they usually give you the smallest portion. Not here, I could barely finish it, thing was loaded with shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams, and fish. Amazing flavor as well. Really enjoyed it! Glad I took a chance here.

Well it's located inside Swan's market alongside other casual cafe. This is famous for oyster bar / seafood. Though sandwiches/salads are also great. Certainly kale salad (kale, cabbage, herbs and quinoa) are very delicious and healthy. You can easily customize with your choice of protein! It's more of self service in a shared area when you seat yourself with indoor and outdoor options.

I've been coming for years but only today did I opt to get a salad to go and it was the worst mistake of my life. This was $16 and I will never do this again. If the flavor was good, maybe redeemable, but no. Tastes weird especially with the olives.

Check out the veggies here! A lot of oysters of course but DO NOT MISS the veggies here. They're both gorgeous and delicious.

5 stars is not enough, 10 stars for this place. Pickled veggies are excellent, lentil soup was perfect, shrimp grilled cheese is so crispy and cheesy, harrisa chicken was so tender and tasty, spiced and cooked to perfection!! Bread pudding, oh my gosh, get the bread pudding!!
