The Colonnade Hotel - Featured Reviews (3101)
We were here for our honeymoon road trip. From the moment we entered the lobby we felt welcome, excited, and we were made to feel special. Aurora upgraded our room for our special occasion. She was absolutely delightful to interact with. She was helpful and kind and answered any questions we had about the city. We had a great stay. The room was beautiful, the view of the city was gorgeous (especially from the rooftop pool & bar;) ). The breakfast buffet at the restaurant (Lucie's) next door/attached, was excellent. We did try dinner at Lucie's but that was actually awful. (Shrimp were not cleaned and therefore inedible yet we were charged for them, pizza came out with added ingredients that weren't on the menu, and the braised meat in the pasta was overcooked and mushy) That was the only blip in an otherwise perfect stay.| The hotel staff always greeted us warmly upon returning from shopping/sightseeing. There are tons of little restaurants and shops nearby. We will definitely be back. ||What Aurora didn't know, my husband has stage 4 cancer and has never been on a trip in his entire life. This stay and these memories will stay with us, and I cannot say thank you enough.
It had been 23 years since I last visited Boston and we made the trip this summer to see colleges for my daughter. I was not sure where to stay and found a good rate for this hotel. It was perfect! Exceptional service, clean and classy and the beds were so comfortable, I slept so well every night. During the day we took the subway everywhere for our adventures (entry to the subway was literally in front), shopped and ate at the mall and walked to the nearby stores. It was so fun and wonderful! Most cherishing of all, this hotel is a pick up site for a Marthas Vinyard tour group… they pick you up and drop you off! We had a great trip and will stay here again. Thank you to the team for making this a lovely trip.
First time visiting Boston. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. From the moment we walked in hoping for a possible early check, Lillian G was ready and willing to help. Very personable. Great asset to your front desk. |The room was as expected. Never had so much water pressure!|The rooftop bar and pool were amazing.
Traveled with a large family group and we were all pleased with the hotel experience. Staff was great! You’ll love being greeted by Norman the doorman. He gave us great suggestions and was accommodating to a member of our group who needed additional assistance. The rooftop pool is a bonus after a long day of sightseeing- especially with the high temps we experienced! Location in the Back Bay was convenient and the subway is literally steps from the front door. Don't hesitate to book!
The Colonnade... great location, but no way is it four stars! It's 3 stars. Rooms are old. Housekeeping doesn't do a thorough job. Water leaking under the sink onto the floor. Toilet seat was lose and too small. Pool on rooftop is nice. Phone doesn't dial out. Bugs in the bathroom. Furniture is old and has scratches and scrapes. Beds are comfortable. If you do choose to stay here don't think you're paying for 4 star quality and service.
We stayed at The Colonnade as part of a wedding block. When we arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful with unloading our car and with checking in. The rooms were a nice size for the city - we had plenty of room for suitcases and the closet held all our dresses and extras. Throughout the stay, the staff continued to exceed expectations.
The hotel is an easy walk to shopping snd many food options - I was pleased that even our guests who didn’t want to walk far could easily access the places they wanted to go.
The rooftop pool was a fun addition to our trip. Some of us enjoyed the DJ & music one evening, while others enjoyed the sun and water in the morning.
This hotel is a gem. Perfectly located across from the Prudential Center and easily accessible to all areas within Boston. Lovely rooms, exceptional staff, good food & service. The gym and rooftop pool and bar make this full service hotel our place to stay in Boston. We have not been disappointed.
The hotel lobby has a fireplace and plenty of areas to sit and gather with friends and family visiting Boston. I would highly recommend this hotel!
During our stay at The Colonnade Boston we were lucky enough to meet the Concierge Norman! He was so wonderful my hubby and I looked forward to seeing him every morning. He offer the best suggestions of what to see and do and has such a wealth of knowledge, kindness and humanity that was unmatched. He is truly there for you with wonderful stories, great suggestions and many laughs shared with him. We thank Norman for getting the most out if our vacation and we are looking forward to returning! Lovely hotel right in the center of downtown Boston! I stayed in a suite on the second floor, there was only one other room near me. Hotel room was a great size, bedroom itself was huge! Staff was extremely friendly! They have an observation deck on
