The Coachman Inn - Hotel in Oak Harbor - 32959 State Rte 20, USA

The facility was clean and the staff friendly however, I rated my stay average for a couple of reasons. The hot-tub jets were weak and the water could have been much hotter. It felt like being in a warm bath with no jets. There is a rule that only 3 can be in the hot-tub when it is big enough for 4 or 5 people. What are you to do if you are 2 couples or a family of five? The pool was nice and heated. The breakfast was a weird affair. You could choose what you want and then it is given in lunch bags. The hot egg sandwiches tasted awful. The biscuits and gravy were good but luke warm. We ate our breakfast on the terrace by the pool which was super nice but in winter that wouldn't work. There was only 1 table in the lobby to sit at and no table in our room. The location of the hotel is near lots of fast food restaurants and grocery store but on a part of the island that is not attractive. We wished we had stayed on the other side of the island but that was our fault.

Terrific staff, nice large clean 2 br suite for family and friends to visit and stay, clean, quiet location. The suite had everything you need to be comfortable and relax during your visit. It has a small but functional kitchen, full size fridge, all the necessary kitchenwares to prepare your own meals and it even has a full-size washer and dryer.||The location is good with Plenty of decent restaurants within walking distance. This is the second time we’ve rented a 2 br suite at the coachman inn and suites, and I’ll do it again when we go back to oak harbor.

I booked this place for my wife's birthday to enjoy some outdoors. From the initial reservation, i did not expect too much, given there were not a lot of choices available. I requested flowers, candles, and a cake as a surprise for my wife a few days before check-in, and staff was amazing to acknowledge and add it with a minimal charge. However, to my biggest surprise, it was an amazing experience for us. Rooms were super clean and well maintained. You do not get good vibes as you enter the inn, but rooms are great. They beat my expectations by good margin, and i highly recommended them. Regarding the included breakfast, you will be asked to pack boxes per person at the buffet area, and it is not a dine in. Choices were waffles, egg muffins, cereals, and coffee. Not a lot of option but decent.

Really enjoyed the hotel nice and clean our room was huge which was great as there was four of us. Breakfast was good, we didn't mind the Carry out and go. I would rather eat in the room anyway. We really enjoyed that there was two hot tubs. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Front desk was extremely friendly.

I really enjoyed staying at The Coachman Inn. It's an older hotel so you never know what you're going to get but the room was very clean and comfortable. I stay in 20-30 hotels a year for work and I was very pleased with the room. The bathroom tile is a bit outdated but in great condition and the shower was amazing. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable - hard to describe. It's not firm but not too soft either. The couch and chair were also very comfy. I loved that they had a mini fridge with a legitimate freezer to refreeze my ice pack for my cooler bag. There was also a microwave. I tried the free breakfast to go. They had a fair amount of choices and it was good food. There's plenty of parking, it's well located and the staff are very friendly. There are also a couple of restaurants in the parking lot. I only made it to SushiMoto but I definitely recommend. My only con is that when you first open the door there's a hint of musty smell but this is Washington and the rooms are carpeted and open directly to the outdoors. I would love to go back to Whidbey soon and would definitely stay here again.

We were passing through and needed a last minute room. Everything was great but it was a deluxe kitchenette room so it had an interesting smell, mostly likely from someone previously cooking in it.

Positive: Staff was wonderful! Room was very clean and tidy. Furniture was all in good shape. Nice balcony and didn't hear the neighbors. What more could you ask for? Negative: Wouldn't change a thing. Negative: ""

Well maintained, very comfortable and clean and the owners clearly take pride in their establishment. I’m ex UK Royal Air Force and I’d stay here again in a heart beat!
