Had the most wonderful experience! The pictures on the website do not do justice to how amazing this hotel is! It was so quiet and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful, amazing location. Service was incredible. Would highly recommend. We stayed in The Atlantic Suite and it was so much bigger than I thought. Everything was immaculately clean. We enjoyed the outdoor patio.
The Cliffside Inn was an enjoyable stay, with a quiet location. If you’re looking to relax, this place checks all the boxes! It’s the “small things” that I appreciated the most: eating a peaceful breakfast on the front porch, having a coffee/tea bar accessible 24/7, the bottled water constantly stocked, etc. Plus being a block from the Cliff Walk adds to the relaxing environment. There are a few restaurants within walking distance as well.
My only complaint was the room size. I stayed in the Swann Room, which was very small. Though I was told of the small size upon booking - so it wasn’t a surprise. If you’re traveling solo, it’s enough space. But if you’re traveling with another person, it would be too cramped.
Overall, would definitely stay at another Lark property.
We loved this place! Was on a quiet road but close to town. Great parking (right at the Inn). Cliff walk is at the end of the block. Very clean room with new and fresh decor. Very comfortable beds and easy to use black-out shades and curtains. Amazing breakfast and delicious fresh pressed decaf coffee available for those of us who don't drink caffeine! The whole experience was fantastic!
Great experience at the Cliffside Inn! The staff was so very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were delicious, and the afternoon wine and appetizers provided a great setting to meet other guests. Our guest room was clean and comfortable, and we had a great view of the water. I highly recommend a stay at the Cliffside Inn when visiting Newport!
Have been here 4 times now. My wife and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The perfect place for couples if you’re looking to relax and have a true getaway. 2 minute walk from the cliff walk, 5 minute walk to the beach, walking distance to downtown or a 5 minute drive to it. Shops, cafes, great restaurants, all super close. The staff here is amazing and breakfast always on point. Thank you Cliffside!
Relaxing and cozy! Staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, evening wine and hors d’oeuvres, and snacks were perfect! Great location—-steps away from the Cliff walk and easy walk or short Uber into town. Perfect wedding anniversary trip!
Exceptional!! We love it here. Location is perfect. Quiet street with access to the cliff walk close by. Would give it more than 5 stars if that were possible.||Our welcome was perfect.||We were in the St. GEORGES suite with a water view. Its on the 3rd floor. Bed was comforable. Shower was amazing about 7x4 feel long with swveral nozzles. Small separate sitting area with fireplace. Love this historic building beautifully restored. ||Very perfect, relaxing and welcoming. Lots of snacks and breakfast on the porch with sounds of birds. the entire staff was friendly and helpful.||We sat by the outside fire one night. Walked on the cliffwalk and walked all over. Got lots of steps on my fitbit.
I had never stayed in a B & B before, and this place was so charming. Beautiful, well maintained place with beautiful rooms with fireplaces in the rooms. There are various rooms to choose from ( I think there 15 rooms). Not cheap. The rooms start at $400 but worth it. It's located less than 2 miles from The Breakers and the other mansions. They have a wine reception in the evening and breakfast in the morning. They have a counter with various snacks available 24/7. They also have granola bars, coffee and a great ice machine that we're all 2 seconds from our room. It's about a 30 second walk down to the water. There are outdoor sitting areas including a fire pit and a reading room inside and a beautiful lounge. I highly recommend this place.
