Very classy hotel. Our room was clean, gorgeous, and had a nice side view of the beach. Staff were very friendly all around, especially the valet and front desk. We came to the Central Coast for a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. When I opened the door to our room, I was pleasantly surprised and excited to see balloons, cake, and a bottle of champagne waiting for us (I believe this is something you have to request/pay for when booking, but it’s still nice that the hotel has this option). The fireplace in our room worked great, so it was perfect for a chilly night.
I emailed ahead of our stay to say my husband and I were celebrating a special anniversary and my husbands birthday. They responded straight away & emailed a couple times which I thought was a lovely personsal touch. Our room was gorgeous with a view of the ocean and a little balcony. They had left us a lovely note congratulating us and lots of goodies including a few beers. We had a gorgeous meal in the restaurant with a lovely view of the ocean. Our time at the hotel was memorable & all the staff were super friendly. Thank you for making our stay so special. I can't recommend the hotel enough.
We had a wonderful anniversary stay at the Cliffs. They recognized our anniversary with some Champagne and chocolates. A lovely gesture. We stayed on the adult floor which we very much liked. Had a great view across the pool of the ocean.|Every staff person we encountered was exceptional. They were attentive, polite, competent and accommodating. I have no idea where the bad reviews of the valet or front desk came from. As I stated, all staff including the restaurant were excellent. In addition to the Hotel restaurant there are two others in walking distance. Pismo and Avila beach are minutes away. SLO is also close. |The stay exceeded our expectations and we hope to return. If there was one negative it was a family group who we understood were celebrating but their celebration in the evening outside beyond 10 was just rude. It was the adults not children. Luckily they left and the resort returned to a great hotel.|
Upon arrival we were so excited. The posted pictures portray a property with upscale ambiance, incredible views and amenities. However, it was somewhat off putting to see yellow caution tape blocking off a large section of the lobby- hopefully it was just under construction rather than a crime scene investigation. The front desk staff failed to demonstrate any type of personality, welcoming or sense of hospitality whatsoever ever. Very cold and matter of a fact. The front desk refused to help with making spa treatment appointments and referred us to use the app or call when we got to our room. The spa didn’t answer the phone nor did their app work to book a massage and front desk staff were unwilling to help. We ended up booking spa treatments elsewhere. |Our partial ocean view room (224) was at best mediocre. For a Hotel/Spa property to provide such an uncomfortable lumpy bed and over stuffed hard pillows is a travesty. Plus the bathroom exceptionally small. ||The rooms are like a Comfort Inn and lobby like a Wyndham. The BEST part about our stay was feeling the sun on our face as we watched the waves from our room. I loved how the pool and patio of the restaurant was situated to overlook the cliff. Would I stay here again? Maybe if I was in a pinch but definitely not if I wanted to be pampered.
Overall my Wife and I enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Edgewater suite, and it was a really big room, and overall pretty clean. We still had to clean it ourselves to get it up to our standards, but it definitely wasn't dirty. The shower door didn't work very well, and there were no fans in the bathroom(kinda strange). Also the bidet wasn't working properly. I would say room service, and movie prices were overpriced, and there were many hidden charges. I also wasn't really digging how many dogs were in the hotel. I understand it's "dog friendly" and that is appealing for dog owners, but hearing dogs barking in the hallways, and people walking there dogs past our private patio all day wasn't the greatest. I'm kind of unsure if I would stay here again. The majority of the staff and valet were really nice and friendly which is important. So that is a plus! Our room was nice, but for the price it could have been much nicer. There is one exclusive suite I really want to stay in, in this hotel, and maybe one day if I can find a time when it's not reserved, that would probably be the only way I would stay here again.
We came for our wedding anniversary and Godson's wedding all wrapped in one. You left us Champagne to celebrate & wine! Our room was a WOW, our view, JUST WOW. Our room was more than I even imagined and the pictures showed so clean, smelled good & loved our time watching the ocean from our balcony. The staff was so kind and helpful. House keeping did a fab job. Valet was very easy to work with along with bell attendants. Marisol Restaurant was so so good-great views as well. Pool time was nice and the pool side bar attendant was attentive. We walked the path and headed down to the ocean from your trail path, wonderful time. Walking around is made very easy! Can't say enough!
My wife and I had a delightfully romantic experience at this lovely property? Full service, hotel rooms and accommodations of high-quality. Service by all departments, exceptional. And the views that this property offers over the magnificent of Avila bay with magnificent sunsets and beautiful majestic skies delivers a little bit of heaven - thanks to everyone on the property for making our stay so nice.
The biggest asset of this hotel is its location. We had an ocean-view suite, so the views were impeccable. The rooms were clean, but the facilities including the bathroom appeared outdated. Valet parking was not available and couple of nights we had to park across the street. The restaurant is pretty good with plenty of tables overlooking the beach. The beach is easily accessible. The hotel is located in good proximity to restaurants and highways. Overall, while this hotel lacks in quality of the facilities and rooms, its location and views are unbeatable, though you will pay a premium for that.

We love staying here! Every room has an ocean view and when we stay on upper levels we love keeping the sliding door open so we can hear the ocean waves and feel the fresh air. Very cool town as well. We love to go into town for food and San Luis Obi

Definitely recommend this hotel. Great service. Room was super clean and nothing was missing. Nice play area with playground, table tennis... Etc. The views from the hotel and from the rooms (ocean front rooms) are spectacular. There's a trail that r
Friendly staff, gorgeous-view oceanfront rooms, and dog friendly. Really enjoyed having a glass of wine on top of the cliff watching the sunset. It's also really nice being able to walk so far on the clifftop walk from hotel to hotel. Some minor issu
A few friends and I walked in for some late night tacos. Even though we walked in 10 minutes before closing, the workers were so kind and accommodating. I was astonished at the unique meat options I have never seen elsewhere! I always go for a classi
Beautiful little park on the cliffs overlooking Pismo beach. Toys/ playground was very busy when we were there. A nice path goes along the cliff with lots of places to sit and enjoy the views
If you are a foodie, then you should certainly check out this place! Bobbie is great! I found out about this sandwich/bread shop and am so glad I did! It is one of those LOCAL treats that you may pass by if you did not look for it, I know I did until
Visited this location close to sunset on our way back to Pismo from the Hearst Castle. The grounds are very interesting and beautiful. The entire visit lasted about one hour and cost $20 for two adults, kids are free. I look forward to being able to
This little overlook provides an amazing view! It wasnât super busy, but itâs surprisingly chilly out so it may be that. Plenty of room for the kiddos to run around and play, just be careful of the construction areas!
Wonderful experience in December. Not overly crowded, weather was wonderful. I even found a wild honey bee hive in a tree along the road when we parked. Beach was beautiful as well. White sand beach.
Worth the wait. There is a small outdoor area to sit and eat but no indoor seating. Everything is basically "to-go". That being said it is sooooo good. One of tge places you will go again and again. Biscuits are delicious but the chorizo tacos are ou
