Lovely place! I will definitely come again!!! I had a nice room that was clean and well maintained with a big bed! The best part by far was Rick! I got to the hotel at 7:45AM after traveling for 24 hours and was EXHAUSTED. All of the rooms were booked out and I was about to just take a nap at the breakfast table but Rick went above and beyond to help me because he could tell I could barely keep my eyes open! Not to mention I had an early flight the next morning and he woke up at 5AM just to make sure I was able to find a ride!! The kindness that was offered makes this place one of a kind. Also I really enjoyed the old/ historic colonial aesthetic of the hotel.
Rick was wonderful! We recently moved here and were towing a uhaul and he found a place for us to park it for free! What service! The room he gave us was in the Breakers building ( very cool that they have multiple buildings to choose from) and it was historic yet opulent and in a great location! Very happy to have stayed here and found them!
Need a nice, affordable place to stay in a very cool town?? Look no further than the Cleveland House Victorian Inn on Clarke St. in downtown Newport R. I. Perfectly located to the wharf, easily accesible by car. Great host, Rick, great help, Chase. Free parking, the stay is worth that alone if you've ever tried to find a spot near the wharf on a weekend. ||We had a great stay guys, thanks very much!! Rick, consider DAL when shopping for your next commodity ,,,,
Complete ripoff. Book 1 night for $200 through Expedia. Asked for a 2nd night when we got there. We were told that it would be the same rate by the Manager Rick for the 2nd night. We were charged $600 at the end. Went back and saw we already paid for the first night thinking they double charged us. No, they just jacked the rate. They said the Manager didn't mean what he said. Those rooms were barely worth the $200. We could have stayed at a better place for hundreds less. They didn't even show us a nightly rate or give us a receipt. That should have been a red flag. But we got such an attitude when we confronted them. They said they could have fleeced us even more; that was their response.
Tip: There are much better places in Newport to stay for the money, let alone that won't rip you off.
Have stayed at multiple bed and breakfast in Newport. This one has been my favorite so far. The room was super comfortable, very unique esthetic, big tv, comfortable bed. Free parking which is a plus. If you don’t get the breakfast, they still offer coffee and cereal. And also, location!! It is a short walk to everything down town, couldn’t be more perfect. Upon checkout, Rick was in the office, he was super friendly and above accommodating. Will likely only stay here moving forward, highly recommend.
This was so confusing upon arrival, no real check in area, parking was confusing. Everyone just standing around waiting for the manager to check you in. He was nice, changed our room as the original one was the size of a closet. Very dated rooms ( although great wood work). The reason to stay is primarily for location otherwise these are|Overpriced. Also breakfast is not included and as there are 6 houses throughout town … your room may not be at the check in house, so cleaning or fresh towels are not easily available . We experienced a centipede in our room which was not welcomed, 😊
Stayed for one night in July and couldn’t have been happier. This Inn was exactly what we were looking for - a clean room in a great location. Service was outstanding and Rick goes above and beyond to make sure all his guests are cared for. Will book again for sure!
Though the property is right around the corner from the vibrant Newport downtown, it was amazingly quiet at the inn and on this street. Very picturesque.|Advance information about parking was confusing. It seemed different staff had different answers.|I found that Otillia was the one to go to. She was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Perfect place to stay in Newport. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Wes who was welcoming and informative about the Lodge and surrounding area. The bed was comfortable and the room was charming. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee, teas, and a v
Nicely crafted bracelets, love the fit and the clasp they use. Very durable. And love the designs! They were helpful and held a specific color and size for me when the new shipment came in. Conveniently on the last day of my trip! I did overhear a gi
This bed and breakfast is an absolute must stay in Newport. It's adorable, clean, and cozy. Walking distance to the beach and the bars, but far enough that you can sleep soundly. Serena, the inn keeper is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. She tru
