We stayed here via timeshare exchange and were pleasantly surprised after reading mixed reviews. As far as price and amenities go for peak ski season, you can’t get much better for the price. It is within walking distance to the Riverfront Express Gondola and also has a bus stop out front that will take you to various drop-offs. The bus schedule was a bit confusing at first, but staff did go through a sheet with us. The fees didn’t bother us, as that seems to be a pretty common occurrence at any hotel in a tourist area. There was ample parking with multiple entrances so you didn’t have to walk far to your room. There are quite a few stairs in the building, so that is something to keep in mind. The multiple hot tubs were great and always clean. The entire property was quite clean and well-maintained, even if it is a bit older. The room had everything you could need and was actually pretty updated. There was a hot plate with multiple pots and pans and an electric skillet. It is within close proximity to a grocery store, Walgreens, and a liquor store. We didn’t try the Pho restaurant or the Subway, but they are conveniently located in the lobby. Our biggest complaint was there were not great options for ski storage in the room itself, but we were able to manage. Would definitely stay here again given the convenience!

Great location, has hot tub. Good access to public transportation. Everything is smallish. Adequate for 2. We were here a couple of weeks; the mid week cleaning was poor. Inside, depending on where the room is; there can be many stairs that need to be navigated.

Rooms are super clean. You can tell they take pride in it. The service is neither great nor bad. The ski shop in the lobby is phenomenal! Highly recommend them! The spa is amazing! Highly recommend it! Subway in the lobby is so convenient, but they’re not the friendliest. We loved being so centrally located to everything. Everywhere we went was within 15-20 minutes! The layout of the hotel is odd and things are dated. The rooms also have an odd layout, but they seem to be updating them. The bathrooms were all newly renovated! The only complaint we really had, was there was nowhere for our 2 families to hang out together at night. The rooms were too small to gather in. They don’t like anyone in the common areas after 9pm. It kinda sucked, because after skiing all day and then returning from dinner late, our families wanted to spend time together. Other than that, it was a great hotel, conveniently located, and super clean!

Enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and the many hot tubs. So nice to have restaurants right down the hall. Central location in town. Quite and relaxing 2 nights out of the city for our family. The room was a little small but nice and recently updated appliances. Balcony had a nice view of the hill side, and was private.

Great place to stay while skiing in Beaver Creek ski resort. The Avon skirt shuttle stops right in front of the lodge. There are restaurants on site such as a Vietnamese option.and a subway. The subway is great as you can grab your lunch there before heading out to the mountain, which will save you a lot of money. However, there are no ski lockers there and you must carry along your gear to your room. There was a closet in our room where we stored and dried our ski gear. The kitchenette is quite small, although we were able to cook most of our meals and the dishwasher saved us some time. We parked our cat in the underground parking that was quite dark, however, there were many security cameras, which reassured us a little bit.

We love this location. Walk to restaurants. Bus to ski resort at the front door. Unit was clean and well maintained. It’s basic but perfect for us. Beaver Creek resort has a large number and variety of green runs which is great for us.

Christie Lodge advertised as pet friendly. When we got there there were no available pet friendly rooms. They said they would bend the rules for us and gave us a sub par room the farthest away from the check in. We were very unhappy with our room. Claustrophobic with NO windows. Felt like we we were in a hallway. Stayed one night and checked out the next day. Less than 15 hours. They charged us $480.00 for cleaning fees of 6 nights. Would NOT work with us on the charges. Very sloppy and unprofessional attitudes and service from front desk staff. I have tried every day for a week now, attempting to talk to manager, Melina to discuss this but each day she was either out, or gone for the day. This was a gift reservation from time share owners who were thankfully reimbursed for their week of reservations. However, as "guests" we were treated very unfairly and poorly. In room coffee pot didn't work, TV did not work, if you want to burn a log on the fire, you can purchase one at the front desk for $7.00. Ridiculous. We DO NOT RECCOMEND the Christie Lodge to anyone for ANY reason. We will NOT be returning, EVER. YUCK! Oh, and when you open the door to the room, the bed is less than 4 feet away from outside. Toilet was in plain view from outside, too. All rooms are suites?? This was definitely NOT a suite. No bathtub or amenities that were advertised on the website were available. Worst hospitality, room, and service I've ever experienced.

I had the worst expectations coming in as a good friend of mine told me to not stay here. However, given the time of year and the fact that I was able to exchange through II, I felt like I had little choice. To start there is a $15.75 "resort fee" per night with my II exchange. I'm not sure what exactly this is for outside of the standard things that EVERY hotel should be providing like internet and parking for free. They are also super chintzy with fees. $3 for a lost plastic key card?!?! I have never heard of ANY hotel charging for a lost key card. $1 for each page you print. If you want to receive packages or mail, be prepared to pay $20 for every package and $5 for a letter. How ridiculous is this!?!?!? |The checkin was just ok. Our agent was not helpful as he did not give us an activity guide or shuttle schedule. He also did not inform us that the midweek cleaning that we were entitled to had to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. |The kitchens are small with only 1 burner and no oven. You can request electric skillets though which are huge and nonstick and great to cook with. There is a good sized fridge/freezer. Although there is a dishwasher, it doesn't work to clean glasses as the glasses are dirtier than when you put them in. I don't know if it's the cheap generic detergent or the actual dishwasher. There is no washer and dryer in the unit, but you can pay $2 for washer, $3 for dryer, and $1.25 for detergent. But at least you could get as much soap, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, coffee, paper towels, dish soap/detergent, salt/pepper as you wanted. In addition, housekeeping and maintenance were nice and very quick to address concerns. |The hotel layout is like an Escher drawing. There are stairs everywhere, and to get to many rooms, you have to go both up and down and even back up again. In addition, the halls are very narrow with sharp turns and there are just random closed doors in the hall, making it super hard to get luggage in and out. They use dollys for the luggage so you can maneuver up and down the stairs with your luggage which is not ideal. |The amenities are just ok. The gym is very tiny, but at least there's a gym, and there is a water dispenser in there. There is an outdoor pool and 2 indoor and 1 outdoor hot tub along with pool towels. You have to pay for everything in the game room (pool table, foosball, air hockey). There are a few free ping pong tables in the atrium. They did have cider and cookies on Saturday afternoon when we checked in. Mondays is wine and cheese at 5. That was actually really nice as there were also large trays of fruit and meat and cheese and cookies. Just make sure you get there early. Wednesdays at 6 is movie night with free popcorn although we did not check it out. |During ski season when we went, the pros for skiing are actually amazing! The free skier shuttle that goes to Beaver Creek leaves from right outside the doors of the hotel and goes straight to the base. You can also catch a free shuttle (Blue or Skier/Beaver Creek) to get to Avon station and then jump on the free winter shuttle which takes you to Vail. There are also free shuttles to Walmart and City Market (although this is walking distance). So if you're skiing, you never need to drive or pay for shuttles. The only problem is that you can't walk in the hotel with ski boots, and there are no ski lockers.||Note to the hotel: Stop nickel and diming your customers and start advertising the amazing convenience for skiing, and you may get more business. I would have given it 5 stars if not for resort, package, lost key, and laundry fees. Remember, your hotel is catering to middle class clientele who can afford a ski vacation but don't want to waste money on unexpected or unrealistic fees. If they had loads of money where the fees were no issue whatsoever, they wouldn't be staying here.
