To start Chester Inn wasn't the first inn I booked for my trip to Lake George. Originally, I booked with another B&B down the road. The room wasn't what was advertised in the picture and promised. We drove up the road to find Chester Inn B&B and luckily Bruce and Suzanne had some availability for us. We had the Victorian suite which was very cute and roomy. Bruce and Suzanne are very welcoming people, take a lot of pride and care into their property. I felt comfortable the minute I met them and didn't need to think twice. Their breakfast is very well made. It is well worth the trip to stay at Chester inn B&B. We will definitely be visiting Bruce and Suzanne again. Also, remember to ask about the history of the house. It is worth the time to listen to.
This was the best B and B we've ever stayed in. It was beautiful, welcoming, immaculate, and had an interesting history. The owners, Bruce and Susan, were delightful. Breakfast was wonderful. The last morning when we had to get on our way at 5 a.m. We found two muffins on the bannister to take along with us. Do not miss the Chester Inn if you're ever in the area.
Charming home, great location, lovely room, super friendly owner, wonderful breakfast -- what more is there to say about this quintessential B&B -- couldn't recommend it more highly. My wife were in the Adirondacks for a camp Visiting Day, and were just sorry our stay was so short -- next year we'll definitely book a few extra days now that we've found a perfect base from which to explore the area.
Lovely hosts, great food, beautifully appointed (NOT Victorian- what a nice change!) Scenic location, quiet, and a real pleasurable stay.
A great bed & breakfast with lots of thoughts in every single room. Love all the details inside;)
It's a shame I couldn't give Fern Lodge six stars. Peaceful, quiet, Adirondack lodge-style luxury, and yet, not over-the-top snooty. Wendy was a warm and friendly host, as was Sharon. Breakfast was amazing! The views of Friends Lake from our room an
Our favorite winter destination! This is an excellent place to teach kids to ski! Not into skiing? Bring your sleds, ice skates, snow shoes, or cross country skis! There is grisly something for everyone. There is a tow rope for the ski hill. The warm
Very good food with wonderful plating. Variety of dishes within the style of cuisine made it very difficult to choose because so many sounded great, sooo definitely will go back if possible to try more! The staff were friendly and informative, and th
