We have frequented Anna Maria Island for many years, and have dined all over it, Vancouver, NC and Scottsdale, AZ and are well acquainted with fine dining, expensive dining, and island dining. Given the setting, history and prices of The Chateau we had high expectations that fell short. The waitress was great, the rest of the service was average. Food flavor was below average for the price, portions were not large, and presentation was merely average. Hands down The Porch and Waterfront are superior value, food and service. The seafood tower was fine great, the butter to dip seafood was cold and the crab was super salty. The Caesar salad was not as good as basic homemade, the duck was shredded and overcooked in the pasta which was not worth the $48. Mussels tasted old, while the broth and bread somehow managed to taste like smelly arm pit ....not joke we all said it. Steak was barely better than average steak, the red snapper was simple and acceptable, only the seabass was what I'd consider excellent. It was fine to be sure, but was not worth near the $525 tab.
Dinner and drinks at the Chateau were unbelievable! Started the evening with a dirty martini and fresh pear martini and then had a delicious dinner followed by the best chocolate cake. Our server, Mary, was wonderful and gave us excellent service! It was our first time here and definitely won’t be the last. Highly recommend!
We went tonight for a cocktail for our ladies night out and sat at their bar. The barman was very helpful and organized our chairs so we could all fit in. Our drinks where really good and well made. If your looking for a nice night out, a bit more fancy than the normal Island places this is worth going to.
We went yesterday, Christmas Day, first time, for the Christmas Day Buffet. The hostess were Yes very helpful, and seated us right away. Our drinks were really good and well made. If you’re looking for a nice wonderful night out, more fancy than the normal Island places this is the place, it’s well worth the drive to get there! Our food & service, were excellent, our server Jenny N was attentive, and served our beverages promptly, and gave great table side service. The Christmas Buffet was presented in a professional manner, all food was hot, and the dessert station was presented very appealing! We definitely will be back, and recommend The Chateau to anyone wanting a wonderful dining experience, with great ambiance, great food, and great service! Although, it is pricy, It is well worth the drive to Anna Maria Island to have a Five Star Experience! Robert Earl
I would describe the interior decor as a mixture between farmhouse chic and french countryside. The staff is all super friendly and our server Kevin was great; very knowledgeable about the food and super friendly. Also I loved that he was honest and helpful about his opinions on his personal favorites. For our appetizers, we got the lamb lollipops and the baked brie. The lamb lollipops are fantastic and I loved that it wasn’t seasoned with any mint which, can be overwhelming with the flavor of lamb and tends to be a popular combo. Also the baked brie is fantastic and the pastry style adds a new dimension to the popular cheese. For the entree I got the lamb shank special. The portion was great and genuinely the best lamb I’ve had in a long time. My girlfriend got the cod stuffed with crab which was a substitution for the snapper today. Again super filling and genuinely a good meal. For the price range and the service few restaurants in the bradenton-sarasota and ami-siesta area can compare. Amazing place.
Wow. Cuisine, ambiance and service was top notch. This is a hidden gem. We kicked off with the seafood tower, which had a nice combination of oysters, crab legs, shrimp, and Ahi tuna. The Duck Confit Fettuccine was absolutely mouthwatering. The Chefs Cut Rib Eye was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Blackened Grouper was incredible. We also ordered the homemade donuts and key lime pie for dessert. Price point is a little on the higher end, but well worth it for the quality of food, service and ambience.
Made birthday reservations online. Very simple and accommodating. Arrived and greeted immediately and sat by a polite and friendly staff. Had mimosas and Bloody Mary drinks. We’ll made and arrived timely. For brunch we had a Turkey club, lobster frittata, and fish and chips. A good variety of well prepared and delicious food. The sides, gluten free toast and home fries were very tasty. For desert it was key lime pie, crème brûlée, and a flourless chocolate torte. The deserts were decadent and amazing. Atmosphere was very nice, staff was helpful and friendly and prices were great for value and taste. Great morning out.
Beautiful restaurant, conveniently located in the lobby of the Waterline villas 5 star resort. Unique decor, full bar and great customer service. We enjoyed every bite of the appetizers, fresh bread and butter, salads and the main dishes. Perfect potions, great presentation and very tasty. We were too full to try the desert menu but ended our dinner with espressos. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.
