The nice photos of the hotel are misleading. The rooms are old and floor are dirty. The rugs in halls are dirty. The elevator is very slow. Breakfast is minimal. With the price we paid $400/night, we expected a warm breakfast! The elevator only shows 3 floors, but definitely there is a floor above us, with kids running, and people chatting late into the nights. May be some secret paths that are not available to regular guests? There were Jewish women and many children spreading out on the first floor common hall in the late afternoon. They appeared keeping to themselves and avoided making any contacts. Bathrooms on first floor are without toilet tissues! No daily room cleaning! Not worth the price.

Aside from the location being central and in walking distance from many great food venues, I have nothing good to say about this hotel after my stay. It is currently under construction which was unfortunate timing for us, but I understand daytime construction has to be done sometime. At this hotel, the construction workers went to work AT 1:00AM EVERY NIGHT. We were repeatedly awakened by hammering and slamming and moving furniture which seemed to be coming from the room directly above us. It’s hard to sleep away from home as it is, but when you have a hotel actively sabotaging your sleep to awaken you when you DO finally fall asleep, that is just unforgivable and so inconsiderate. There was no nighttime staff to report this to. I couldn’t even get a clerk at checkout and had to drop my keys off in the express checkout box without a chance to voice my frustrations. In addition to the midnight construction, which is my biggest complaint, other guests were constantly stinking up the hallways with food they were preparing in their rooms and the included hotel breakfast was extremely limited and disappointing. Half of the gym equipment was out of order. The token machine in the game room was broken. Still, there was a $21 amenity fee tacked on to my stay. I don’t ever plan to return here. If the hotel’s management cares to reach out to me, I’d appreciate something to restore my faith in Choice hotels. This was my first stay in the chain and it does NOT bode well for wanting to stay enough to rack up rewards.

If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the summertime, this isn't it.The staff was very nice and our room appeared to be clean, but the walls and windows were very thin. There were huge groups of families visiting and the kids were completely unsupervised running and screaming in the halls nonstop. It sounded like the people in the room above us were going to come through our ceiling, and we almost hit 2 small children in the parking lot when they darted in front of our truck without a parent in sight. I'm aware this isn't entirely the hotels fault, but clearly there has been a standard set that this is acceptable. I was really looking forward to a quiet relaxing weekend away and this was definitely not it.

Unfortunately, very disappointed with the property. When we walked into our room it was still very dirty, floors were obviously dirty, shower dirty as well, which prompted us to look more closely at the room and just find it to be not clean at all. View from the window of our room was of a large pile of junk outside the building. Honestly just did not feel comfortable there at all. Having spent the day with family at the nearby Santa's Village we were tired, but instead opted to just take the three hour drive home rather than stay the night. Definitely do not recommend.

A wonderful stay! Clean, great location, helpful staff, beautiful lobby, nice continental breakfast. I completely disagree with the negative reviews, finding them overly nit-picky and hyper critical. This is a perfect stay for a visit to beautiful northern New Hampshire. Having traveled extensively, I recommend this hotel without reservation. Bravo!

I stayed here with my husband for two nights and think all the time about going back! The decor is beautiful and spacious. For the price we paid, I couldn't believe how lovely it was. The breakfast that was included was also really great.||We did use the pool and that was very nice - the games room looked fun too, although we didn't use that.||Great location for the mountains and Littleton, which was lovely too!

Not worth the stay. Pluses - staff were great at check-in, location is convenient from the White Mountains, beds were comfortable. Negatives - quality does not match the price or a three star hotel, cleanliness there was mold in the tables, the floors were vinyl in the room and clearly felt unclean, garbage strewn about the lobby, sauna looked like it hadn't been clean and guests clearly wore shoes on the wood planks, pool area had open ceilings and pipes, buckets in the hallway, breakfast was listed as being served at 7am and nothing was set up and there was no staff onsite at 7am.

A really nice nice hotel with great rooms and a very friendly and helpful staff. The place was packed to the rafters with people who had come to the area to see the total eclipse. Room prices were higher than normal but nowhere near as high as places like Burlington, VT Our room was large with a separate sitting area, a kitchenette, and two TV'S. Everything was spotless. Plus a continental breakfast. They also had an indoor swimming pool and gym but we did not use either. The location of the hotel is convenient for visiting the White Mountains in New Hampshire and a large part of Vermont.
