Great atmosphere, not busy, but today was too busy... the service and waiters were so polite and awesome. The food was good but mine was not the best, I had the morning burger, I had a heartburn at night. Their apple caramel and cider draft beers were delicious. I hope they take care of cleaning even more! Overall, we enjoyed it! We had 4 beers, 2 burgers and a coleslaw salad. Bill cam around 65 for 2 people excluding tip.
First time here. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the staff were friendly, and it is a great place to unwind if you're not in a rush. We had a group of 4 people and ordered drinks, an appetizer, fish & chips, and a salad with 2 soups. It was Saturday night and although there were only 4 tables occupied, it was more than she could handle. It took several minutes to get our drinks and the appetizer never came out unfortunately. The dinners were a sufficient size and not bad. The cod was moist & decent, but the "beer batter" was not as good as I had hoped. The fries were good though. Service was slower than we liked, but again, the waitress was friendly and apologized. All and all, an ok meal, in a good location with fair prices.
Fun second level decknwith views of the lake. Service was outstanding. I had the drunken mussels, and though the Guinness bacon sauce was delicious, the mussels itself were average at best. Granted, the middle of July may not be the time of the year for mussels, but if you have fresh seafood on the menu, you need to deliver. Besides the quality of the mussels itself, a 1/3 of the mussels had not opened and should not be consumed. 1 or 2 I always expect but it was excessive in this particular dish.
We’ve been there twice in the last 8 months. The atmosphere in the restaurant is rustic….just what I love. The wait staff does the best they can. I cannot fault them. The food? I’ll just leave you with this…A good menu does not a good restaurant make.
This place is a wonderful gem. I loved the atmosphere and the food was great. I think they are a bit short on help and it took forever to get out drinks and refills. But I would definitely go here again. I had the French Onion soup... delicious! And the Reuben sandwich was excellent!
Two in our party had the shepherds pie and both had unpleasant symptoms later in the evening. While service was friendly it took two requests to get silverware. It was very busy. We have visited before and had a better experience.
Oof. I had high hopes given all the great reviews. The service was terrible…our server rarely came to our table, and when she did, she did not ask if we needed anything or wanted more drinks. The food was pricey and lacked any flavor. The atmosphere had potential, but more than half of the string lights were either burned out or missing, and the outdoor hanging baskets were dry and shriveled. Not sure I’d waste my time here again, and if I did, it would be for drinks only.
We were there on Sunday 1-7 a party of four. We waited for about 30 minutes before taking our order. They were understaffed and they told us people called in . I understand that but the restaurant wasn’t that crowded. The food was fair.
