The Carriage House Inn Newport - Hotel in Middletown - 93 Miantonomi Ave, USA

Absolutely loved this place!! It was like going into a Hallmark movie. Everything was decorated so cute for Christmas. We liked the breakfast and the 24-hour access to beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate). The staff was very kind and respectful. Definitely will be booking if I ever ho back to Newport.

This is a very convenient out of town hotel. Short drive to downtown and the mansions and cliff walk. It’s clean and the staff are super friendly. In general it could use some updates. But the beds were very comfortable. They had some plant-based options at the (modest) continental breakfast—which was much appreciated!

Had a wonderful stay in this unique hotel. The room was a little small but clean & comfortable. The TV had a great channel selection but a little small since it was in a cabinet. Breakfast was continental with sandwiches ready for the microwave. Coffee was very good. Some caulking needed in the bathroom.

Positive: the front desk staff was excellent. extremely welcoming and helpful. bed was comfortable. AC worked well too. Negative: the bathroom did not seem like a 2.5 star hotel at all. but it was clean and plenty of towels. milk at the coffee bar would be much appreciated. also wish there was a desk in my room.

Stayed in 2 king bed suite and it suited us well. It had extra electric plug ins for our devices. The sink had plenty of room for our needs. Room had drapes but some light got in during sunrise. Bed was changed both nights. Continental breakfast was adequate while the coffee was great. Would suggest having an afternoon snack such as some chocolate chip cookies or similar available- it would bring the ambiance up a notch.AC was great. Location less than a mile from downtown Newport. Plenty of parking for guests.

What a gorgeous inn this is. We spent weekend here. Loved our room, breakfast in the am, comfortable beds, good shower. Highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again when we come to RI again. And, close to downtown, Newport which is amazing. Our room was very spacious too which was great

From the moment we walked in it was such a pleasant experience. Keith was super friendly, helpful and fun to talk with. We had room 31 on the 3rd floor and it was so quiet and peaceful. Love both the interior and exterior look of the hotel, prices were great for the value and really appreciated the fact the breakfast had vegetarian and vegan options! Driving distance from everything is always 6-15 minutes which made the vacation simple. A super positive experience, will definitely be back.

This was my first trip to the upper east coast and it was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The inn was small with a very homey feeling to it . Clean and comfortable!! Will definitely stay here again if they have a room available on my future trips
