I have stayed at The Carriage House multiple times and have had the best time, every time. It’s the cutest (updated!) boutique motel! Conveniently located to everything & quiet. The rooms are absolutely darling and I can tell so much thought has gone into each room design! Love the vaulted ceilings, especially the green ceiling room! The amenities are perfect! The best part is the owner- the only time I’ve ever had such wonderful service, was at The Carlyle in NYC. She helped with my luggage, texts me to ask if I need anything (just the right amount!), kept the coffee coming, and was a joy to chat with! Can’t wait to stay again! Thank you!
Was Sooooo excited to find this place while visiting family in the area! We had not booked ahead, but they were ready with a room even late at night! It was beautiful and they even accommodated us staying for 3 nights!!
The pillows were soft, the bed was comfy & the floors and shower looked like they had just been played with new surfaces!!
Damion was readily available the couple times we needed something and very kind, friendly & helpful!!!
We were even able to cast our church service to the tv and took advantage of the free wifi all weekend!! 😁😁
I would HIGHLY recommend this place!!! ❤️❤️❤️
We were very well looked after, the management was so accommodating. They went above and beyond even allowed us to check in early, so My Son could catch up on some much-needed rest. The cleaning staff did an excellent job and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Very efficient and easy communication. Lots of options Within walking distance. And lots of amazing hiking to do within a 10 minute car ride.
If you’re a light sleeper play your sleep sounds ;) love that the heating /cooling system can run on constant fan option.
Exceptional value compared to the Chain hotels!! THANK YOU!!
The Carriage House is our to to place anytime we are visiting the area. Each room is uniquely decorated, the rooms are clean and the owner goes out of her way to ensure you feel welcome and have a comfortable stay. If you have a child at Quinnipiac, The Carriage House is right around the corner! Great for parents weekend, graduation and any other events at the school.
We needed to find lodging on short notice for a night near or in New Haven. I found this online. The proprietor has done a great job remodeling the property. Her contactless check in process is very efficient. Rooms were clean, very comfortable, and there were places to charge electronic devices. The small refrigerator had a freezer that could be used for gel packs for small coolers; something not always available. We accidentally left a couple items and she worked with us to get them back to us. Very friendly and accommodating. I agree with what other reviews say about the rooms, decor and attention to detail.
This was such a great place to stay. It was freshly updated, so clean and comfortable, and so pretty inside our room. It had everything we needed. The service and check in were so great. I highly recommend staying here, and will definitely do so again whenever I’m in the area!
Randomly found the Carriage House after needing to escape the weather. It’s right next to freeways very convenient and was surprisingly one of the nicest of the many places I’ve stayed. Clean, uniquely decorated, renovated and very pleasant management. I’m scent sensitive and it smelled great.
If you’re looking for a clean room that has everything you “need” and you’re not worried about having a swimming pool, a indoor laundromat, a watered down bar and a cheap complementary breakfast, which isn’t really complementary because the fee is included in your room rental whether you use the complementary breakfast or not. Powdered eggs and milk “yah my favorite.” Then rent from The Carriage House. I’m not asking, I’m telling you to. You will not regret it. Don’t make the mistake and pay for things you don’t need or that you’re not gonna use. The Carriage House is very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are spacious. There’s no amazing scenery or views here but neither is there at the fancy newly built hotel across the street. If you look outside of any of their windows, all you’re gonna see is the street.
