The Caroline - Hotel in Hollywood - 1515 N Ocean Dr, USA

I feel like this place could do better. We charged extra for a sofa bed after asking for a sofa bed in my booking. And stated multiple times it was two adults and a baby. We obviously 3 people do not fit in a small bed. The owner was not trying to accommodate us in any way but charge us $20 per night just for a sofa bed. The floors are just not it.they aren’t cleaned, or broomed they are literally dirty you can feel it under your shoe. The towels weren’t clean they had stains. The sofa is the absolute worst, the sheets on them seemed to never been cleaned or changed out. I had to ask for extra sheets for the sofa bed. The tv is there no reason because you cannot manage the volume or seem to turn it off. It is a great area and the beach is just a block away with all the restaurants near by but their service should be better WAY better. In my opinion!

I went with my girlfriend for Spring Break, and the place is really nasty, the floor and kitchen was something disgusting. I’d say just the bed is kinda clean. The good thing is the good location, you’re close to everything specially the beach. We had a problem with the toilet but Enrico helped us to solved it.

I have stayed with my friend on Feb 14, the day before our cruise. the stuff and the owner are friendly, and they were eager to accommodate us sooner than the suggested check-in time. We arrived at 11 am, and shortly after we got the room. Simple room with comfortable bed. Also, the owner of the hotel allowed us to check out later. As a result, we enjoyed the beach and early lunch in the beach area that btw is so close to the hotel.

Room was a bit to be desired. The woman at the front desk was very rude when asking for more washcloths and towels. 2 people for 4 nights and given 1 wash cloth and towel. The lights flicker on and off. TV does not work and have to get up to unplug it in order to turn it off. I woke up to a roach crawling on my face. Roaches and Ludwigs were everywhere. The elder man that was there may own the place was super sweet and probably could use some help. He tended to the yard however needs the rooms updated and sprayed . Location was safe and convenient.

The owner was a very nice kind man to my boyfriend and I. For the price we paid, we had everything we needed to rest for a night near the sea, but we woke up to have breakfast on the beach and we decided to stay one more night. It is a safe, quiet, clean place. and good location, I recommend it. I will return soon. We were very happy.

If I could give an -10 star I would. Arrive for one night stay, went in to check in for room, gave us a room with only one bed, walked in the room was very nasty and not up to standards, when. We booked a room for two beds months ago. Had to go back to try and get another room with two beds was told they did NOT have anymore rooms for two beds. Come to find it’s a first come first serve. I will not be recommending this places to anyone.

When I arrived I was told they were booked up even though I paid and reserved a room in Dec!! The manager (who barely speaks English) stated he would refund me and asked me to go walk around and find another hotel in the area. A customer called after I got there and he told her the same thing while she was driving to the hotel. He told her to turn around that he would refund her. Thankfully I called Travelocity and they were so nice to help me find another hotel for the same rate. 45 mins later, by the time they got me switched to a whole new hotel the hotel manager GRABBED my phone from me and told Travelocity never mind and that he mysteriously found an open room for me. The room was loud w traffic (right next to the main road), there was NO tv, NO microwave and NO hairdryer. I went to the front desk asking if they had an extra hairdryer or microwave in the back. They said no. The manager then told me I could come over to his hotel room and borrow his microwave! (Creepy, no thanks). They charge you a $17/ day resort fee for cleaning service. THERE’S NO SERVICE. I never got fresh towels, toilet paper, trash changed or sheets changed. I had to go to the office to get extra towels /toilet paper. Also as soon as I took my first shower the shower curtain fell to the ground!! The toilet only flushed once per night so all the waste had to sit there until the water filled up once per night to flush it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! It is close to the beach but not close enough for dealing with this!

First off, my welcome was absolutely rude and disappointing. They immediately judged me and said I'm at the wrong hotel. The owner is a very old gentleman and very disrespectful. He wants respect but doesn’t show any. As a military man and out of South Miami, I am used to dealing with old racist Hispanic men, so I let him and the first day on the job little girl do their thing so I could just get to my room and take a nap. The only reason I got in was because I mentioned my wife was Latino, and she’ll be here shortly. I finally get the room after chaos, and then another customer curses them out for being rude. BTW, the other customer was a dark Hispanic. Now I’m in the room, beyond crummy, the floors are sticky, there’s mold on the shower curtain, the lights are flickering on and off, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the blinds are broken behind the see-through curtain, and I think that about it besides only two towels for me and my wife and the creepy mirror over the bed. We slept on top of the cover in our own cover we brought. I feel as if not only do they dislike black Americans, they just have bad customer service and need to be shut down. One of the worst spots I have ever been to. Only good things is when I returned the key the lady in the morning seemed to be normal and respectable. 2/10
