My father and I often visit the Carmel hat shop while visiting Carmel City by the sea and you can find all kinds of hats for all occasions for a reasonable price. I love French beret hat

Beautiful shop with large and very nice collections. The materials are very good. The hats are well made and made in usa. Chris the owner is super nice. He helps me to make my hat smaller while telling me the story of Carmel by the sea and how the town is built. We definitely need to support more small and authentic shops like this one. thank you for a beautiful hat. I received so many compliments while wearing it.

I am very happy to finally find a shop selling rolled edge cowboy hats! The boss is very friendly and knows what I want. By the way, your white hat is perfect for you. :) It would be better if it could ship overseas, because I regretted not buying the black one . . I really want the white hat of Budd in the movie "Kill Bill".

The Carmel Hat Company is fantastic! I stopped in while spending the day walking around Carmel with some family (which I highly recommend). They have a large variety of unique hats/headware of all styles. I hadn't even planned on buying a hat, but ended up finding one that was so great I couldn't pass it up.

I called to inquire about their cowboy hat selection before driving all the way to carmel. When I called I asked if they had a big selection and she responded with “uh no” and then I asked if she knew what brands they carried and the lady on the phone told me “not off the top of my head but I’m with a customer right now” and proceeded to hang up the phone. I found it extremely rude the way she couldn’t even ask me to hold or tell me she’ll look once she’s done with the customer infront of her. I was a customer too, not anymore.

Great little store. We arrived at Carmel early, knew it was going to be a hot day, and forgot our hats. Even though we got there right when they opened, she was very nice and helpful. She knew a lot about the hats and helped us pick one out. This stop was a fun little start to our day (and kept us from getting too burnt). :)

Great place with a LOT of unique hats. Wife loves going every time we are in town.
