The maintenance staff at the Canyon are always responsive and kind. I put in a request late at night and Kip and Ash my issues fixed the next morning. They were very quick and answered any questions I had. Great experience, thank you!
Living in Canyon has been the best experience while being at PSU. The workers are always willing to help and share insight into why living here is so great. I have always felt safe living here, it’s an AMAZING location, and I love how many amenities come with living here. They offer painting classes, mug decorating, free pizza nights, free printing, free breakfast and coffee, and a very nice gym. I have now been living here for three years and can’t believe I’m graduating in the spring! My all time favorite employee would have to be Shannon since she is always so kind on the phone and super easy to talk to and relate to!!! GO CANYON
The Canyon team is always on top of everything! Me and my roommate were having multiple electrical/ breaker issues- we contacted maintenance and put in a work order, got an immediate response, and Jerry, Skip, and Gary were knocking on our door in minutes! They created a very welcoming energy, with smiles on their faces and also asking permission about entering our apartment. We love the maintenance crew and seriously appreciate them for being there for residents; 24 hour service is a lot… so thank you guys so much for not only fixing our problem, but being respectful about entering our space and explaining what the specific problem was to the best of your understanding so that we would know for the future! Thank you again, Jerry, Skip, and Gary for being awesome, we love you guys and appreciate everything you do for Canyon Residents! :)
Highly recommend living in the Canyon Apartments, the maintenance has been very helpful while my dishwasher is getting fixed and I appreciate that they've always had a good attitude. Skip who did the initial assessment of the washer, was very patient when I was explaining what was wrong as I was just giving my best guess. Have had a wonderful experience so far and am excited to continue the year
This place is actually ridiculous. If the apartments weren’t nice I’d give it 1 star. I’ve lost power 5-6 times since school began (along with neighbors on my side of the building) for legitimate hours. Half the time it’s only partially, but the partial loss of power is my side of the bedroom, the hall/bathroom lights, and the refrigerator. The other half of the time it’s the entire unit. We’ve contacted the building (Beaver Hill) and Canyon multiple times over this and they haven’t fixed it, or have temporarily fixed it (lasts 1-2 weeks at most). Unless you like living in the dark do not live here, they care more about re-leasing your apartment than they do about the actual tenants. Edit: Reducing to 1 star. They’ve told me to upload my insurance 3 times now despite already doing it twice and give me trouble every month when I pay my rent (balance shows $0.00 at the end of the month when it’s due, and they try to charge me for a “late fee” when it’s available to pay on the 1st despite their system being flawed). I thought the meridian was bad last year, this is absolutely insane. DO NOT LIVE HERE
This is my 3rd year living at the canyon and it has always been such a great place to live. Skip from maintenance is always so friendly and very helpful when we have any issues in our apartment. Michelle, Shannon, and Ryan in the downstairs office are also always ready to help when any of their residents need anything. The great location, amenities, and unit options make any of the canyon locations the ideal place for psu students to call home. Definitely the best place to live in downtown state college!
My roommates and I just started leasing with The Canyon and we love it here! Lisa from maintenance has been so helpful when we needed her, and Michelle from the front office has gone above and beyond to make sure our experience is amazing! Help is available when needed, unlike other apartments in State college ◡̈ Also, we have access to some pretty awesome gyms, study spaces, and coffee/tea bars. We will be re-leasing for next year for sure!
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! So many reasons to not live here. I'll start with that they bribe residents to write good reviews for a package of free cookies so do not believe every good review that you see. I lived here for two years from 2021- 2023. My first month living here was good so I renewed. BAD IDEA. The price for what you are getting is awful!!! Tiny shared rooms with wifi that always goes out, refrigerators that do not freeze, laundry machines that are always broken and the staff complains about tenants in the public lobby of Alexander Court! If you want to use your air conditioning in the spring when its 90 degrees out, they wont turn it on until the week after everyone moves out. The main issue that I specifically had when living there is I wrote a review because maintenance was entering our apartment without notice and leaving our door open when we were on break. This happened twice!!!! We came back to our door open!!!! When I wrote the review I added in examples of instances when maintenance was inappropriate. Of course the Canyon finally followed up with me however, I was threatened with police involvement so I took my review down and waited until I was fully moved out. I will not share the inappropriate experiences but it was very uncomfortable. Michelle talked down to me and tried to belittle my experience as well as others. The canyon also refused to show us the video of our apartment over break and would send us videos of the wrong apartment and do other things to push off any kind of evidence that we could see as to who left our apartment door open. We eventually gave up because we are busy college students and dealing with this stupidity was too stressful. If you are going to pay $1200, Pugh center is cheaper with your own room. The Met and Rise are also close to that price for way better amenities.
As a weightlifter, traveling can make it difficult to find a gym. Mostly because some gyms wonât accommodate drop ins who do their own program. But CrossFit Nittany went above and beyond that standard. They made it easy for me to come and do my thi
So full of flavor and absolutely delicious!! The taco flight is such a great idea. Lots of yummy unique flavors. The quesadillas and multiple homemade salsas are also so good. Owner and employees were all great. Can't wait to go back and try more!
So from the perspective of a Lebanese woman: Life changing Halal truck for Middle Easterners in State college!! Iâm from Detroit with family in Dearborn and I havenât found any food out here that can compare to the amazing dishes I eat back home
Really cool facility with a great customer base. Student section is always fire. Such a friendly & supportive crowd (if youâre rooting for Penn State) / theyâll turn on you like a rabid dog if youâre not. The food selections for the VIP dinn
Hmmm, where should I start with this review. The surrounding of trees and plants gives the property colors and the sense of freshness around the environment. During the summer and autumn, standing in the dazzling sunshine, enjoy the breeze and a cold
