My go to in Venice Beach. Have gone for a week by myself and for a week with my Lover/Sweetheart. Want to go back in June! Also great coffee and place to sit downstairs in the AM Oh and don't miss the rooftop views !
I absolutely loved my experience here although I'm not aware of how much we paid for each night but I was under the impression that it was not very expensive. The room quality is probably similar to a motel 6 room honestly however the location is pretty tight and if you can get up to the top floor and close to the balcony then you have a really good view I'm the ocean, honestly the only great thing is the location and the view as well as the history. I loved every minute of it and I'm kinda glad the rooms are not all fancy because that probably made the room affordable. If they remodel these rooms I'm sure they could easily charged at least $200 a night, easy . However right now I'd say around $120 is fair. The staff did not buy me at all, breakfast was good and I met people from other countries every morning. It's a good memory i will be keeping
Yes there’s no air conditioning, BUT with the window open it felt great at night. We weren’t ever in the room anyways so no ac wasn’t a big deal for us. We had wood floors in our room. Very basic room but then again we were only there to sleep. Staff is very friendly and held our suitcases until we could check in. Rooftop was awesome! Great view of the everything! Beach is steps away. Breakfast was good, very simple but we didn’t mind. They have great WiFi!! Usually when we stay somewhere it barley works. My husband and I thought it was a great hotel and will book again, only next time we will get an ocean front view. If you’re not high maintenance you would love it.
AMAZING location! The beds are comfy. There are homeless people that sleep near the hotel, but they didn't give us any problems. There are pretty much homeless people EVERYWHERE in Venice Beach at night. We gave our leftover food to them and they were nice and grateful. I liked this hotel and would come back. Note: there is no A/C and no fridge or microwave in the room. They do have a microwave you can use in the lobby. The breakfast is not worth it. Overpriced.
Pictures on the website are nicer than expected. The pillows suck, the shower is made for hobbits, super expensive for one night. I get that it's on the beach but come on. Homeless have a better view of the beach than we did. It was an experience I will not do again. Besides that the customer service was good.
Hotel was very clean, not enough supplies for 3 people in our room, had to call down quite often for room service. Staff was helpful ,polite, but paying for parking when you stay at the same hotel is wrong. The light was out in the living room, the couch and the bed were like bricks. Did not get any sleep at all with the homeless people outside arguing late into the night. We were there on business and the only great thing about this hotel was the view of the ocean.
Above expectations. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back! Bargain for being right on the beach and close to Santa Monica Pier. Went through 3 desk clerks, all were VERY polite and answered all of our questions to figure things out as well as the breakfast lady and both housekeeping ladies. Don’t count on free hotel parking most likely you won’t get it. But there are many parking lots nearby typically around $15-$20 for 24 hours. I was concerned about no A/C in mid June but turned out we never needed it. Remodeled room was really nice, bed and pillows comfortable. Great TV with lots of channels and HBO. Maybe because it was Tuesday summer night but neighborhood and hotel were considerably quiet. Agree with other reviews that if you can’t stand to be around homeless you might want to book elsewhere. Hopefully they can get refrigerators and microwaves in all the rooms. Can’t wait until we venture out that way again. Thank you!
The staff was absolutely great, they were layed back and helpful. The location was incredible. The bad reviews are clearly from people who didn’t do their homework.
Venice Beach has homeless people- they don’t bother you. You are staying here for the location - NOT for luxury service.
Place was clean- the only few draw backs I could see was the carpet clearly needed to be replaced in the room and toilet seat needs replaced- the room was stuffy even with the ceiling fan and window open-pillows were hard.
But again, I was there for the location - I was not spending anytime in my room.
I would recommend this hotel to those who truly embrace the “ beach life”
Absolutely loved our stay! Irvin & Tatiana were above outstanding, from contacting by phone for the reservation, all the way through our final night. They truly went out of their way to make our stay excellent. It was a pleasure meeting them. Beautif
Extremely clean hotel! Everyone is attentive and pleasant. In-room refrigerator and coffee maker a plus. 2 blocks to beach! Walkable to many food venues, some next door. As noted by other travelers, walls can be thin but I just ran the fan as a white
Lisa choreographed our first dance, and it was a hit! She was fun, and laid back. Her energy is unparalleled. She customized our dance to our levels and abilities. My wife and I are so happy that we chose Lisa Kellogg.
This is one of my favorite places in Venice Beach, if not my very favorite. Daniel is such an awesome person. I've been several times in the past few years and every time, literally every time, he treats me like family. This time I brought a big chun
How fun to see all the "graffiti"-some of which is nothing short of truly beautiful artwork painted by some amazingly talented artists ð¨ it was so fun to watch the action and get some great pics ð· This is definitely a touristy spot and it's a p

This is a must see during the holidays. You will want to park on a side street in the area of the canals. It is a walk in to view these beautiful light displays. There are 4 canals with bridged walkways over them and there are walkways along each of
