I have always wanted to stay at Fort Wilderness and finally did! I loved every minute of the stay. I do recommend you rent a golf cart, as it makes traveling around the resort much more manageable (it is worth the added expense!). We brought our little dog and he truly loved all the space (and other dogs!).||The food is great with lots of options, the activities are fun and worth the extra fee, and the beach is a relaxing place to watch the fireworks. ||We did have one odd experience: the first two nights of our stay, a couple little frogs kept congregating around the door and some got in our cabin. They were really cute and not too hard to get out, but definitely something to watch out for. We would open the door slowly and shine a light around it to see if any frogs were hanging about. Cast Members theorized that because our cabin had been empty before we checked in, the frogs weren't scared away. Despite this small inconvenience, we have already booked another stay at Fort Wilderness!
I'll keep this short and sweet. Great place. You feel like you're camping up north. The cabins are cozy and comfy. There's PLENTY of fun activities. You can park your car at the cabin and we didn't use it the rest of the time we were there. HIGHLY recommend getting a golf cart if you're staying for a few day or more and intend to do on site activities. Room service and cast members were great. Bus system is also easy and convenient. Definitely recommend!
Love, Love, LOVE staying in the cabins in Ft Wilderness. Christmastime has been my special time to go. I miss the restaurants for breakfast and lunch and dinner - the new place is just alright - not something I'd recommend. I recommend cooking in the cabin! |I'll miss them when they redo with the new vacation club member cabins.
We loved the cabins. Ours was very clean and the mouse keeping staff came in almost daily and cleaned our rooms without us asking. A nice surprise after a long day at the parks to come back to everything cleaned and all new towels, wash clothes, bedding. The campground is huge, you'll need a golf cart. The best part though is if you get the first boat to Magic Kingdom, you can be first in the park. The Chip and Dale Campfire is a great experience. They do this each night at the campground. We booked another trip and so excited to go back.
We love to stay at the cabins each year but they are beyond a good value at the current pricing. The furniture is old and dirty. The sleeper sofa was impossible to sleep on and took a lot of time to get one replaced . They don’t clean every day but trash cans are small for a kitchen. There are no towels at the pools so bring your own. There is a full size fridge, microwave and dishwasher in the kitchen. There are 2 small cooktop burners. The kitchen is equipped with basic supplies but minimums. There is a charcoal grill and a picnic table on the patio. Bring bug spray when outside. A golf cart or bikes are necessary since there are no parking places for cars. The campgrounds are fun to explore especially during the holidays. There are multiple pools , playgrounds, trails and basketball hoops. The evening campfire with Chip and Dale was fun. There is a fire but no supplies for s’mores so bring your own including sticks.
We loved the cabins! Definitely recommend bringing or renting a golf cart for ease of movement around the resort. It's a short boat ride to magic kingdom and bus rides to the rest of the parks. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you go around Halloween or Christmas, the golf cart will allow you to explore the resort and see all the decorations other guests put up!
The cabin was amazingly huge, clean, quiet and the air conditioning worked well! We were in loop 2700 and it was wonderful. Plenty of space for our family, loved the full size kitchen. We swam and had fun in the golf cart. At first I laughed at the golf cart but it’s the only way to get back to the boat launch, on site restaurant and stables without waiting on an interior bus. We never used the buses so I can’t comment. We did use the water taco to the magic kingdom and it was great. Love to stay again but not sure how expensive it will be as these are being converted into DVC rentals. I’d you can go to the stables and see the horses - our daughter loved the pony ride!
This was our first time visiting Fort Wilderness as we usually stay at a deluxe resort but now there are more of us we fancied a change! ||Firstly - this resort is huge, don’t underestimate that! That being said we stayed in the cabin loop and didn’t bother getting a golf cart. We walked 25 minutes to the settlement and around 15-20 to the meadows pool. The internal buses are really regular, we never waited more than 5 mins. ||Positives : |- boat to magic kingdom is purely magical and absolutely wonderful after a long night at magic kingdom! |- really lovely atmosphere and scenery. We loved the smells and the wildlife spotting. All cast members were friendly |- hoop de hoo is a must! Our whole family 2-60 loved it!|- cabin is nice and homely and the sofa bed did my parents fine for two weeks. |- watching the fireworks from the “beach” area was really special, especially with young children!||Negatives - |The cabins are a little tired and dated. Obviously this will be changing with the new DVC cabins but our mattress in the bedroom was very sad and the cabin needed a deep dusting - top of the wardrobes and lights were pretty gross |- the pool by the cabins was so so disappointing. This pool is not manned by any staff and wasn’t heated for our stay (april-May). There were guests playing music over speakers, kids diving in, oblivious to other guests. It was not a pleasant experience. Disney you are letting us down. Your big spenders are the people staying in cabins, please provide us with a better experience!! |- no refillable cup stations. This is usually a must for us but we didn’t fancy the 20 min walk to fill them up, didn’t seem worth it. Please put one by the cabin pool. |- we were there when all the food options by the settlement closed. There were smaller options but they weren’t great. Hope to visit again when trails end is re-opened and re-imagined. ||We did have an incident where my mum fell in a huge pot hole that wasn’t visible due to no lighting by the bus stop by the settlement. She was really hurt and had a huge gash and lots of bruises. Unfortunately staff didn’t seem to care too much and gave her a sticker for being brave and promised they’d have maintenance fill it in…well four days later we reported it again and basically received an eye roll from staff. If this was an elderly person or a child I’d hate to think of how badly they could be hurt!||Overall we did love our stay here and will definitely return on our next visit.

The perfect little getaway. The Deluxe Studio is roomy with a great view. My studio had TWO additional Murphy beds available. Having the SkyLiner on property is so convenient. Parking lot is large, valet available. I did notice a single car that t
This resort was beautiful. The theming is amazing and being on the monorail made it super convenient. The only thing, being the first time staying here, was how easy it is to get lost in the twisty paths around the multiple buildings. The meandering
2nd time here in the past 12 months. Very chilled & generally quiet resort. Staff are friendly & helpful as you'd expect from a Disney hotel.
Public transport to the parks is very convenient & regular.

This hotel is opulent but VERY pricey. I'm normally a Pop Century kind of guy. The beds are the same comfort level to the best of my observation. Grand is so quiet and well located. The quick service food choices are much more limited at the Gran
We stayed at a different resort, but came for Snow White's dinner and we were so jealous. Staying here next year. It's beautiful and every corner has well thought out decor. The giant chairs in the lobby are so fun too.
Awesome experience. Club level is a great luxury upgrade and highly recommend with kids - food and drinks included and accessible throughout the day. Rooms are comfortable and well updated. Only knock on our room was it was next to the service/kitche
Just got back from a 5 day trip and this was just major convenience all around. We had a 1 bedroom villa with all the space and comfort we needed. Quick walks to rooms, easy access to Epcot, sky liner, tons of food option and so much more! Very
Disney Yacht Club continues to be a marvelous resort with rooms refreshed every couple of years. Rooms are modern with wood-like laminate flooring (much preferred to sister Beach Club which has carpet). Yacht is in my mind the best of the Epcot resor
Disney has done it again! Everything was amazing, but I have to give a shout out to Andrew at the front desk. I had Christmas gifts delivered, and on the night of Christmas Eve, I went to retrieve them. Well, they were not assembled. I really wanted
I really liked the room we had. There was a kitchen, with all the kitchen essentials, beds for everyone (the Murphy beds were so much better than any futon couch bed), and nice bathrooms. My only complaint would be that the shower was a little weird.
Don't give five stars for nothing. The ride was cool. Rollercoaster that has rotates independent of direction. Fun but will mess with your inner ear.
If you have any vertigo or head tilt issues stay off this ride. Saw several an older rider have
Splash Mountain Magic Kingdom, last splash ride during the fireworks, 9pm on the closing night, Jan 22, 2023. Many memories shared here with the family. One of my favorite things about this attraction was finding all of the hidden mickeyâs througho
Love this trackless ride. Great little story love the entrance story before you get on the ride. Creative and a story you can follow. Also has a Disney play trivia game with a level that you have to go on the ride to know the answers (don't worry, pl
This is our first time back since Covid. There was still a security checkpoint, but no temperature taking. The place was nice and clean. It wasnât overcrowded. We noticed a few things that were added since last time we were there there was a lot mo
I dined at The Boathouse at Disney Springs during my recent trip to Walt Disney World, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality food, atmosphere, and service. Though the popularity does come with some downsides for wait times. With indoor and pa
The best experience of our vacation (and we did the Mickeyâs not so scary Halloween party). Great drinks and great atmosphere. There are specialty drinks that come with their own special effects. The staff are very interactive but an introvert can
Pirates of the Caribbean is a fun, classic boat ride thatâs about pirates. This is at Magic Kingdom, and does have shorter wait times than other rides. The queue was mostly bland, but contained a few cool items.
The ride itself was immersive, and
In this ride, you sit in a giant clam shell and go on an adventure with Nemo and his friends. It goes through the movie minus Darla, the dentist and 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney Australia. You end the ride in an aquarium with fish, sea turtles, sharks and
