My wife and I were in town and decided to have dinner at The Butcher Block. On the website it said they were open until 10, when we arrived at 8 there was a sign on the door that read they were closing at 9. That being said the service was still excellent and we never felt rushed. We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer, they arrived quickly and tasted great. My wife ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl for her dinner and I ordered chicken fried steak with a side salad. The side salad was a bowl of lettuce with three slices of tomatoes on it so nothing special. The chicken fried steak however was massive and tasted great! The steak fries were ok. Overall for roughly $17 it was worth the price. My wife's meal was a different story. First let me say the portion was huge but quantity isn't always everything. She ordered teriyaki but this dish had heat, as in spice, and I've never known teriyaki to have this kind of heat. The vegetables were crunchy and not seasoned. For $22 it just didn't feel that she got what she ordered. She still ate what she could as the chicken had good flavor, just to much heat. Then for dessert we split a slice of Pina colada cheesecake and it was delicious! Overall the experience was a good one. The server was great. She was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance of the place was very nice. It felt like this was probably the nicest place in town. I'm glad we tried this place while we were in town but I think maybe if the teriyaki is that spicy they should put that on the menu for the folks that don't want spicy.

This was a solid restaurant. A good place to grab dinner if you're in the area. The atmosphere is good for the area. It feels like a West Texas steakhouse. I had a steak with a salad, asparagus, and a baked potato. The food was all fine. The dressings are made in-house. The steak may have been a touch over for me, but it was hardly noticeable. One small thing was that the bartender gave me a blended whiskey when I asked for a bourbon, but it wasn't a big deal for me. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal and I would go back to this restaurant.

Service was good, Alex did a nice job. Very polite. He’s the only reason for 4 stars. Appetizer of cheese curds was great. Chicken fried steak was chewy and tough. French fries were not crispy, but mushy instead. Cocktails were well made.

Absolutely amazing I got the 12oz ribeye medium rare more rare and perfectly cooked to my liking. I do not like pepper and I have to say was not a problem not peppery at all. I also got a side salad with ranch yes it was leafy and had four small tomato slices I ordered with cheese and ranch, and I was not disappointed. The garlic parm potatoes were even more satisfying! Will go back!

We stopped in for dinner at 7pm and we're not able to wrap up dinner for almost 90 minutes. We were seated immediately, but it took about 45 minutes to get or order in and get our food. The food was good and the waitress was friendly, but the restaurant seemed to be running short staffed. The restaurant was nice and there seemed to be banquet rooms available for large parties.

My only complaint was that when I say Rare I mean rare and it was more medium rare. But it all tasted good. Love their blue cheese vinegerett!

What a gem. Stoped here driving home on New Year’s Day - they were happily open and the owners are a delight. The lemon filed donut was my favorite. Owners snuck us some extra donut holes for our long drive. Wish we had this place in our town.

The best, most authentic street tacos, the beef burritos have some of the best meat(not done like a regular US burrito, but more of a Mexican family house burrito. This place is awesome, I can't say enough how much I enjoyed the food, and the prices
