Our family had such an awesome time at the Burrow! We planned 3 hours here but that wasn't enough. We loved the huge arcade, the food - we ordered a variety of foods to share including a Rib & Chicken Platter, and the drinks from the bar were so good. I loved my margarita/slushie flight. My husband loved his Maple New York Sour and Cinnamon Old Fashioned. They have a lot of ax throwing lanes which were super fun. Kids 11 and up can do the ax throwing too. There were some things we didn't expect here like bowling and a second bar area. It's great for family outings, dates, outings with friends - everything!
Always a good time with family and friends in the Foxy Den area! Dion is the best bartender! He’s very creative with drinks if you need any suggestions! The Cuban sandwich is absolutely the best, but some of the other food items could be better. We will have to try again, since we heard a new cook has started. We always look forward to hanging out and enjoying the atmosphere too.
The food was really good with good sized portions, but a little expensive. Good selection of beer. Had to go to the bar to get service after sitting at a table for a few minutes.
Many of the games were "disabled" or one or more stations (for multi players) was "disabled". I would say this was true for about half of the games in the arcade. Some of them were just outright broken or went into "disabled" mode mid-play. Rope course was closed. The staff wasn't really around (except in the bar/food area) and didn't seem to want to be there.
I left with a "meh" impression and don't intend on returning.
::update::
The owner has replied to my review about offering non-redemption games. However, I live over an hour away and visited them for a one off evening based on the reviews, so will not be taking advantage of this "offer" as I have no intention of returning. Letting people know about the issue BEFORE buying $50 worth of tokens would be a better policy.
Addressing the staff issues of hanging out at the bar while customers sit expectantly would be another way to ensure guests have a pleasant visit.
I went here for the first time last night on a first date and it was all much fun. I had never thrown axes before but I had a blast. One of the guys who worked there that showed us how to throw the axes was very helpful.
We visited the Burrow for the first time tonight 12/28. The bar manager ( didn't catch his name unfortunately) was incredible. Fantastic apple martini and food was super fast. We had some issues with the arcade part which I brought to his attention. Not only did he apologize, he made things right and has now made a long term customer.
I will absolutely recommend the Burrow in Oakdale to anyone looking for a great night out. Thank you for an awesome experience.
The prices were not fair in my opinion. Specifically the food. Its self service fast food in plastic plates but priced like a restaurant. Portions are small. I got chicken wings for a whooping $17 (+tip?) and they were dry and painful to eat. My drink had a fly in it.
Not to be rude but this is basically an off-brand Dave and Busters. They do have a better layout for the games but make sure to pack lunch or eat before coming. The website makes the food look way more fancy than it is.
Service was very, very slow. Waited 15 minutes for chicken wings and there was only 1 person in front of us.
The place was dead too for a Sunday, probably because its overpriced and no one knows about it.
Cesar helped us out with the axe throwing and he was the most incredible of employees. The bartender was rude and seemed like she had better things to do than her job.
I would really love to rate this higher but the service is basically non-existent. This is a wonderful concept so I hope improvements can be made to make it a more enjoyable experience.
The beer out of the tap was flat. The barbecue platter that we paid $60 for was dry and bland. Other than that it was a fun night. I enjoyed the Lazer tag and all the arcade games! The mini bowling alley was also fun. Most of the staff were super friendly. Nice chill environment. If they can fix the flat beer issue in the food quality this place would be top notch!
