The Bungalows by Homestead Modern - Hotel in Joshua Tree - 59700 29 Palms Hwy, USA

Be careful when booking this property, especially at checkout. We’ve been screwed as the Gen. manager Ashley claimed we damaged the wall of the bathroom, which we didn’t! Probably someone from the staff did it and then they put everything on us. The claim came 6 hours later we left the property and they did not want to believe we did nothing at all! Unbelievable but true, so they proceeded and took a damage fee from our credit card. First time something similar has happened to me and my wife. I would never come back here, but Joshua Tree park is amazing…find another place ;-)

Wow, what an architectural gem in the middle of touristy Joshua Tree. So tastefully decorated, lovely art, cozy, super clean, well equipped with all you need, even for properly cooking, lovely big, refreshing pool. Perfect for design loving people as much as for nature lovers (it’s already surrounded by stunning views and nature and very close to the entry of JP) and also mid century fans. A true gem! 💎🙏🏻

Robbers! Police were called on this horrendous company. This company is horrible to work with - booked ONE room online, they told be it was two. I was texted ONE code. We were shooting a brand in Joshua Tree, and used the hotel for 3 hours to change. There were four adults MAX in the room at once, no more. I was charged the first room fee of $234, then $250, then another $234 then $48. Luckily, my bank removed all unnecessary charges. I have called the police on this company and they are investigating tomorrow. There was a "property manager" (no manager on site) who tried to peak at the girls changing. Again, luckily someone caught this on video. Horrible experience.

Another fantastic stay at the bungalows ! Great communication before checking in regarding to access code and directions made it a simple check in procedure. Clean and serene once I got there . The bungalows are like no other stay - you are like in complete tranquility . The other good thing is there is so much going on nearby in Yucca Valley , Pioneer town , Joshua tree and 29 Palms that you really don’t even have to go into Palm Springs to get anything , Every thing is close by and more and more shops and restaurants are opening even within the last six months . Next visit, I’m spending my whole time at the bungalows ! Thanks for an amazing stay .

A wonderful respite surrounded by desert and Joshua Trees. The accommodations, true to modernism, were comfortable, clean and with all the necessities. Sunrise to sunset, the views are beautiful!

Beautiful bungalows in Joshua Tree. We loved the design of the bungalow mid century modern. It is really calm and peaceful there with fantastic views of desert. The sunset was stunning.

Everything about our stay here was perfect. My partner and I stayed in the deluxe suite while visiting Joshua tree national park. Nicely decorated clean, big rooms, very comfortable beds and pillows, we loved the robes. Rooms and patios have amazing views of the desert which we loved. Very relaxing vibe. Located nice and close to the park entrance and other shops, places to eat etc. The staff are amazing! Ashley and Stu especially, went above and beyond for us and were really great to deal with and very accommodating. 10/10 would stay here again and would highly recommend this to anyone staying in or near Joshua tree.

My wife and I decided to spend our tenth wedding anniversary visiting Joshua Tree National Park, and when I found the Bungalows by Homestead Modern, I knew this was where we would stay. We are huge fans of anything mid-century modern, so this was the perfect place, and honestly, the bungalows are even better in person. The space is thoughtfully designed down to the last detail, including the soaps and even the Bluetooth speaker. It was refreshing to come back to such a great space after a day of hiking. The retreat center itself is located about 5 minutes west of the town of Joshua Tree and about 15 minutes from the park entrance. With nothing else around, the nights were peaceful and the mornings quiet. We had people staying on all sides of us, and we never heard a thing. Overall, I can't say enough great things about the Bungalows. It was a wonderful stay, and I recommend anyone stay there if they are visiting Joshua Tree or Yucca Valley.
