My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary weekend getaway and had such a great visit! The house was clean and beautiful and so full of late 1800s charm! The woodwork was simply amazing! The Boyden House was located within walking distance of the Miniatures Museum (a must see!) And a very short drive from the pier walk and the Grand Haven nightlife. Shelly was our hostess and she made us feel so welcome and at home and even offered local dining suggestions. She checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed and made the best breakfasts too! We'll definitely be returning for another visit!
This is a beautiful bed and breakfast and the location was excellent to walk to downtown. The room was very clean and comfortable. My complaint is that the breakfast was the skimpiest breakfast I have ever experienced at a bed and breakfast especially considering the cost to stay here. The breakfast consisted of yogurt with granola and fruit and a couple of slices of ham. We did walk to a wonderful bakery for a cinnamon roll because we were still hungry. This will probably keep me from staying here again.
Boyden House looks nice from the outside, great front porch. BUT it’s falling apart. The chair in our room had four extremely wobbly legs and I feared it would break if I sat in it. The sofa in the common room sunk to the floor when sat in. Some people call old charming but here it’s uncomfortable and unsafe. Blinds in our room were broken. Breakfast is one option served from 9:00-9:30 with no flexibility. Not very accommodating.
Our stay was excellent. The entire house was clean and well kept. The house is lovely and charming. Shelly was a fantastic host, our every need was catered to. Breakfast was delicious. Piping hot coffee was ready to go at 8am. Chocolate chip cookies served on a platter for all day enjoyment. The house was within walking distance to downtown and the lighthouse. We will absolutely visit again.
We stayed here for our 1 year anniversary married and it was incredible! The place is just beautiful! Between the front porch and the back deck with the coy pond it blew our minds. The service was excellent and so was the breakfast will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommended and walking distance to town :)
This beautiful bed and breakfast has many lovely rooms to stay in . The home is centrally located to multiple eateries and shopping downtown. As well as several other towns you may want to see. Shelly manages the home and does and outstanding job. She prepares wonder breakfast daily, and baked cookies in the evening. She overs you great hospitality and conversation. Shelly thank you so much for making our vacation there fabulous .
My husband and I stayed at the Boyden House for our anniversary this weekend. It was our first b&b experience and it was perfect. Shelly was an excellent host and the food was delicious! The room was clean and the house is just beautiful. It was a short walk to downtown and we loved the neighborhood. We will definitely be returning for another weekend in the future!
My husband and I visited for our anniversary and it was amazing! Cozy rooms- easy access to everything in Grand Hazen, it is all a walk or a bike ride away. Shelly was amazing! Prepared wonderful breakfasts and always greeted us with a smile!
Had an amazing weekend at The Looking Glass Bed and Breakfast! This place is so beautiful with a spectacular, breathtaking view of Lake Michigan. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the whole vibe made me feel relaxed and at home. Just a s
Worth every penny! Acai bowls are one of my all time favorite things to eat. I've traveled all over the world and hands down, Voyage Bowls has the best acai! They pile the fresh fruit high on each bowl. And then the drizzle of homemade peanut butte
What an awesome hot spot! â Family-owned and operated with great drinks, atmosphere, and thoughtful touches like cardboard sleeves with art by local elementary students. Community for community. Love this!
My husband and I visited this restaurant before heading home from our anniversary vacation, and let me tell you!!! The food was the best breakfast I've had at a restaurant! The staff treated us with the friendliness you would expect from close friend

Iâve enjoyed this place every time Iâve visited. My favorite (pictured) is the Crab Rangoon Pizza. A nicely lit (for ambience) place with little robot servers who bring your food to you! (Not every time- just when busy, it seems) You can get out
This is the locally-owned burger stand all the locals go to and everyone loves. No frills, just great burgers and terrific service. Try a chocolate+ 𥥠milkshake and don't forget to upgrade your burger with ð¥!
I had a minor issue with a carryout order recently and sent them email feedback. They called me the next day and were very apologetic and offered to make the same thing for me on the house. I had the mozzarella crunch burger, which is a 1/3 pound b
