The Boathouse At River Islands - American restaurant in Lathrop - 980 Lakeside Dr, USA

Atmosphere is the main draw of this place. Right on the lake with a great vibe and big outdoor area. Very laid back with a lot of things to keep kids entertained nearby. Service was great. Our waitress came around often to check on us and the food came out quickly. The food was pretty good, but not great. They give good portions, but the flavor wasn't fully there. I would definitely be willing to go back and try the food again.

The vibe is totally chill. They have a good selection of games playing all over the restaurant (inside and out on the deck). The restaurant is in a nook of its own with a wonderful view of the lake. The service was great, from hostess to our waitress, the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. There was not a long wait with the food although they were almost at capacity indoors. We sat outside in 104 degree weather. Not the worst but the flies are a problem and at night, you will have to be careful with the mosquitoes. If you’re visiting during the summer season, just try to avoid the dinner rush hours. Our cocktail drinks were very refreshing and indeed hit the stop on this super hour day. Our family was beyond satisfied with the food. We devoured the pasta, the carnitas tacos were packed with meat and had great flavor, and the rib tips were finger licking good. If you’re near the area, take the drive over here!

This place is a perfect place to enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price with a chill atmosphere. We had a pizza, the pretzel, Caesar salad and brownie sundae. All were delicious! I really appreciate the service too! They were all super nice and attentive. Will definitely be back

The atmosphere is very nice, but the food was not that great.The pot stickers were great, the hamburgers bun was so greasy I had to ask for extra napkins. They need some deep fried food and more available appetizers I like my burgers with fries not coleslaw, macaroni or chips. The menu is not the same online as it is in the restaurant. I don't think I will go there again. I spend almost 200 dollars on 2 people and didn't leave satisfied.

Very little seating inside if weather does not permit patio seating, fortunately weather was great and so was the environment on patio overlooking water. Drinks were on point and food was good but nothing to write home about as I enjoyed mine but the two I came with not as much. Our server was wonderful and very pleasant which was nice. Couple drinks, meal each and 1 appetizer $170 so not the cheapest but it's pretty chill.

Just had my birthday dinner there with 10 of my friends. They were extremely accommodating and we had the most awesome service!

A hidden gem of the area! My wife and I shared an ahi poke nachos which in my opinion were great, but my wife said she has had better. We didn't try their cocktails sticking with beers since they had Shadow Puppet brewery IPA, and my best half enjoyed red orange blond from CalBrew (I think). The main dishes came quickly, truth said it wasn't crowded. My boathouse burger was decent, probably would taste even better with the beef patty, but I prefer the black bean. My side salad was huge and yummy. For my wife we had seared ahi tuna salad which was great.

Great atmosphere good food, but files all around.
