The Boards Motel is a cheap, bare bones motel close to the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Upon checking into the room, there was a strong smoky odor that took a while to air out. The walls were also chipping a bit, the carpet was slightly stained, I could easily hear the outside noises at night, and the room didn’t look neat and clean in general. As far as I could tell, the bed was clean and comfortable though. The room prices are very cheap compared to other hotels in the area. It’s just a block from the boardwalk near Resorts Casino. In the end, I think you get what you pay for. If you want a very cheap, bare bones motel close to the boardwalk in AC, this is it.
I could see small blood stains on the mattress cover. Over all cleanliness wasn’t great. The room next to us seemed to be rented by the hour. We ended up staying the night at the near by Super 8
