The house was built in 1854 and has a long history. The old furniture and decorations are still used in the house. It seems that the old house has never been renovated... Its design style highlights the classic and gorgeous... The Blue Max Inn is in a great location. We booked the largest room on the rooftop. I saw on the website that this room was bright and luxurious before booking. I was very disappointed when I checked in. First of all, the room smelled musty, the stairs and the room were dimly lit, and the carpet and pillowcase in the bathroom made it impossible for me to see its original color... The bath towels were still black... The breakfast setting is beautiful and the servers are very friendly…
We had the best three days here. The Inn is gorgeous and the hosts were outstanding. Would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast. Close to and walking distance to everything. . Will definitely come back. Thank you for a great three day getaway.
We enjoyed our stay at the inn. It has a lovely front porch that we made good use of. Breakfast was generous and tasty. The inn fully met our needs for this trip, and we would be happy to return. It is, however, showing its age and would benefit from some TLC.
I have stayed at The Blue Max Inn many times over the past 10 years and each time the rooms, dining and service have been impeccable. ||I especially enjoy the beautiful living room with the grand piano and the dining room with coffee and tea. The Inn is conveniently located and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the waterfront. ||Not only is it beautiful and charming, but I feel safe when I stay at the Blue Max. I recommend the Blue Max Inn with 5 STARS.
We were there this whole weekend, and we had an amazing breakfast each morning. Stephanie and Mike are wonderful. The house was decorated for Christmas it was so warm and inviting. We will definitely go again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
We were so impressed with our stay. They called the morning of our stay and had given us a free upgrade to a room with a balcony. It was lovely. It is right on the edge of all the activity but just far enough that it's not too noisy. When we went back to the Max after dinner the other patrons were in the parlor listening to music and having fun. We made friends and have made plans to go back. The host, Mike was cheerful, accommodating, and professional. Breakfast was lovely and tasty. The Max is a hidden gem.
Needs new toilet seats, shower curtains and a good cleaning. Plus blankets on the bed between the thin sheets and heavy comforter. Only one menu choice for breakfast and no fruit was served. It seems to be popular and had returning customers. Short walking distance to shops, restaurants and the waterfront.
My husband and I stayed at Blue Max for our 10th anniversary wedding weekend. It's truly a phenomenal and charming little inn. Everything is decorated so nicely, the breakfast was amazing and you can't beat the location. It was also very quiet. The innkeepers were hospitable and friendly. I would stay here again and again! We will definitely be back.
We enjoyed the upper bay suite on the third floor. It was clean and roomy. I forgot my hairdryer and was happy to find one in the closet. We loved walking around the historic town and enjoyed dinner, breakfast and shopping all on the same block. We w

The atmosphere was a cozy, clean and beautiful. The server Nick, was a great waiter, friendly towards me, Mom, Grandma and my Aunt and served us our food on time. All the food was delicious too. I'd definitely go back there and I recommend others to
This place is truly fabulous, and they have apparently never stopped working to make it better. Our food was excellent! And the atmosphere here has always been awesome. It's absolutely worth the trip!
