This was our second time staying here and once again it was great. The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly. The hotel is pet friendly and everything worked out great with our golden retriever. The location is great for skiers which is between multiple ski areas. Breakfast is typical and well supplied. The Indian restaurant within the hotel, Mint, is amazing. We will be coming back and I would recommend this hotel.

We had a great time here, and really appreciated the way the hotel is run. It's a little rustic - the decor would benefit from a refresh. But the owners have invested in facilities which actually make your stay more comfortable. As well as the room's facilities (fridge and coffee machine) there is a hot drinks station and public computer along the ground floor. The food in the on-site Indian restaurant was very good, and the self-serve breakfast was hard to beat, with loads of choice and regular refills by staff. All this in a small room with picture windows overlooking the lake. We were grateful for the laundry facilities, which are in the small gym, and for the ability to buy take out drinks from reception. One of our favourite things was the kayak hire, which was a wonderful way to spend a morning on the adjacent lake. The only things we could fault: it would have given us leave of mind to have a safe in the bedroom; it was not always easy to get attention at reception. We were told when we brought the kayak back, just to paddle around near the deck and someone would come out.... After 15 minutes one of us had to hold the kayak while the other had to phone to get a staff member, as there was nobody at reception and presumably nobody monitoring the CCTV we had been waving at! You need a car to access anything outside the hotel, but we'd still recommend staying here.

Positive: Breakfast area looked out over beautiful lake. Complete breakfast with something for everyone. 24/7 coffee and tea. Comfortable bed and very clean. Negative: Staff was abrupt when I arrived. Not very friendly. Thought I could have a room looking at lake but that was an extra $50/night. Other staff I saw were nice.

I found this place by accident and took a chance. Great value for the money and if you love Indian food, you're in for a treat! Breakfast had plenty of options to choose from, especially nice were granola bars for later. Beautiful dining areas and if you get a room on the lakeside, you will have a beautiful view.

During our stay at Black Swan Inn, we were impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. In particular, Michelle stood out as a remarkable member of the team. Not only was Michelle incredibly informative, but she was also highly efficient in addressing our concerns. Her expertise made our stay even more enjoyable and hassle-free. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an enjoyable time in the Berkshires.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We had a second floor lake view room. The room was spacious and really clean. There are sliding glass doors to your balcony. Bed was super comfortable and the sheets crisp. Breakfast was great. Latte machine near breakfast room is free 24 hours! On site restaurant Mint was outstanding! I highly recommend both the restaurant and hotel. Will definitely be back!

Friends of ours had been gifted a night at this hotel as a Christmas gift and they asked if we would like to travel with them to explore the area. We booked our room directly on the hotel's website with a pay in full promotion, but I overheard as other people were checking in that it sounds like most people book this hotel through a third party. We had booked a standard king room, but upon arrival we asked to upgrade to a lakeview room. We were able to get a first floor lakefront suite with a balcony for an additional $35 plus tax. The hotel grounds and room were both clean and comfortable. Our room had a private balcony, although it is only private as far as having a railing between it and the balcony next door so if you and your neighbor were both on your balcony at the same time, you really don't have any privacy. Views of the water from the room and balcony are both very nice. There are Adirondack chairs outside by the lake, but no chairs or small table on the balconies. Our room had a fireplace that looked as though it might be electric, but there are signs on the fireplaces indicating that they are not functional. It would be nice if they could be turned on, even just for looks. Our room also had a jetted tub which we did not use, but it was a nice touch. Rooms are equipped with mini fridges, but no microwaves, but there is a microwave in the breakfast room which was very close by. Speaking of the breakfast room, it is very nice. The hotel offers a free breakfast and despite them not providing hot items like eggs or meat, it was more than adequate and certainly offered plenty of options for everyone (Bread, bagels, english muffins, danish, muffins, cereal, hard boiled eggs, frozen breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, some fruit, three different types of juice and a machine that makes pancakes for you). In addition to the substantial breakfast room offerings, there is a 24 hour coffee machine that offers multiple different types of coffee beverages, hot cocoa and dispenses hot water for tea. This hotel definitely offers plenty of complimentary food and drink options. There are also soda machines in the hall and more beverage options offered at the front desk. We did not dine in the onsite restaurant. The breakfast room has floor to ceiling windows that look out over the lake and doubles as a lakeview lounge during the day. Every employee we encountered during our one night stay was friendly and helpful. The breakfast room attendant was doing a great job refreshing all the food offerings and cleaning up while we were dining. Aside from the non-functional fireplace, my only other complaint is one that is really out of the hotel's control. There is no cell service right in the area of the hotel so the only way to be able to make and receive calls is by connecting to the hotel's wifi, which is free for hotel guests. Overall, we had a great stay in this clean, comfortable and affordable hotel. I would stay here again if in the area.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the place was clean and we had a good nights sleep. There are no closets in the room and the breakfast was mediocre. I left my phone charger in the room and called the next day. I know i left it there. They said they would get back to me, but never did. So, someone has a great 4-slot charger and 2 heavy duty cables. Not a good way to get a good review.
