Wonderful experience!! We ordered the short rib special and steak frites, with pretzel sticks as an appetizer. Everything was incredible, and came out surprisingly fast with the busy night they had. Our server Daisey was AMAZING, 10/10. Super friendly, checked on us multiple times even with plenty of other full tables. We originally sat too close to the band, and she helped us move to the PERFECT table right away. Even some other servers checked in on us, very nice! Band was very loud, not the restaurants fault but the reason for 4 stars for atmosphere. We wish we lived closer so we could go here more often!!
Place has great atmosphere when you first walk in with really good music playing. I got the turkey club which was huge, and delicious with many flavored swirling around. The roll was toasted perfectly. I also got a salad instead of fries which was fresh and green with plenty to take home. It was a great experience in downtown Niantic.
Our group unanimously decided to visit the notorious Black Sheep bar in Niantic. Little did we know that our ordinary trip to use the restroom would turn into a hilarious adventure.
When the men entered the restroom, they were immediately greeted by a surprising sight. The urinals in front of us were unlike any we had ever seen before.
Imagine this: two urinals side by side, one specifically designed for taller individuals, while the other catered to those of a shorter stature. However, the proportions of these urinals were completely absurd. The tall-person urinal reached heights that even the tallest person in the bar would find excessive. On the other hand, the short-person urinal barely reached knee level, causing all of us to burst into laughter. It was as if the restroom designer had a mischievous sense of humor, aiming to provide a comedic experience for all the customers. Of course, we couldn't resist capturing this hilarious moment with a photo.
From then on, just the thought of that restroom would send us into fits of laughter.
Our visit to the Black Sheep bar in Niantic not only provided a fun night out with friends but also gave us an unforgettable experience thanks to those unexpected and amusing urinals. It reminds us that sometimes, even the smallest things can bring the biggest smiles to our faces.
Called ahead on a night when it was lightly.snowing to make sure we could have dinner here. Was told kitchen closing at 9pm so we got there at 830pm. Sat ourselves at a table and waited to be served. 15 minutes later we are still sitting there in plain view of the 2 bartenders. Finally got up to find our 'server' who was sitting idly in back.of the restaurant. Asked her if they had table service and she said no. I had seen this 'server' come out 10 minutes after we arrived and notice us sitting at the table so I expected her. to eventually come over. She never did. Didn't even have the courtesy to come over and tell us there was no table service. Terrible experience at a place we regularly eat and drink at. We walked out last night and won't be returning. Bad service can kill a good restaurant.
Great food! I'm vegan and they have 2 great options on the menu but I wasn't in the mood for either. I ordered fries and a side of roasted veggies and it was great! My friends all had meat options and they loved it!
Deciding on a menu item was hard! I chose the Guinness Beef Stew (large) over the Whiskey Burger and when I saw a neighboring table receive their burgers, I started to question if I had made the right decision? Then my beef stew arrived and I knew I had the right choice. The beef was very tender and the potatoes were delicious. Will have to go back for the burger (or another beef stew!)
We sat outside and the umbrellas didn't work, so it was a little hot in the sun, but we enjoyed the weather and view of the water. Daisy was our server and she did a great job!
Went to The Black Sheep and had an incredible meal! The meatloaf, mashed, vegetables and gravy were off the charts! The Cajun swordfish, vegetables and rice were OMG, as was the flatbread and eggrolls and dipping sauce, phenomenal. If you haven’t been here lately, you need to try them again! 😋 😋 😋
We sat outside with the bees, but lunch was good. Fried calamari was lightly battered. Maybe could have had more calamari than peppers. I personally don’t like the peppers battered, just the calamari. The pork tacos on special were tender and juicy but could have used more flavor. Service and being able to sit outside was nice.
Wonderful 2-night stay in a beautiful, quiet and walkable location. King suite was spotless and spacious, with huge windows, tv, white noise machine, mini fridge and microwave. Ac/heat unit worked great. Check in/out was smooth and staff was very fri
This is my favorite park in Niantic. There's a paid parking lot for parking. There are picnic tables and benches. There's pathways to walk around the park. Of course you can't forget the gorgeous beach! Wonderful views from the sand and the hill! It'
Board walk next to the beach gives you an amazing view during summer and fall. The Pavilion is great for some family pictures and right next to it thereâs plenty of hiking trails with a medium/low difficulty. Great place to bring your dog for a wal
Dined here last night and it was nothing short of awesome. Melissa was phenomenal and the food was delicious. The salmon was the best Iâve had in a really long time. The atmosphere was great along with the rest of the staff. Definitely would recomm
