We went to Black Horse Tavern because of it's reputation for preparing gluten free meals. It was even better than the 5-stars that we had heard. Nick was extraordinarily welcoming! All of our meals were outstanding - one in our group said that the fish & chips were "the best I've ever had!" The meals-ribs and pot roast-for the two gf's in our group of 5 were carefully prepared and separately served. Service was likewise outstanding. Simply put, we've found our new favorite restaurant...and we'll be back again and again. Thanks, Nick, to you and your team for a totally wonderful experience!!
We went to the Black Horse to celebrate a birthday after the Bridgton Christmas parade on Saturday night. The food was excellent and the service (Reagan and others) was exceptional!
Each of our meals were perfect- the lightly fried oysters and onion strings were just that - lightly fried, delicious! The Blueberry salad with salmon was absolutely fantastic - blueberry vinagrette was perfect, salmon was grilled just right. The b-day girl had the Grecian chicken whihc was also cooked and seasoned exceptionally well. We were all very pleased with our meals. The pomegranate margarita was heavenly as was the pear rosemary martini!
This was the most amazing place for food and drinks. It was so good that we felt like we were eating food cooked by a famous chef. The wait staff was top notch. They were very attentive and customer oriented. The price is worth it trust me.
We ordered pan fried salmon, fried shrimp, and pan seared tuna with a pomegranate margarita and a lemonade lavender martini. For an appetizer we had black rock crab stuffed mushrooms.
During this most recent visit, the food was okay. Our waitress wasn't very friendly. We were seated in the dining area to the right, which was really cold and noisy. We dined here one other time, and our experience was better. Maybe it was just an off night.
I really enjoyed this place. Our waitress was amazing and treated us like old friends. The steak tips were extremely tender, the potatoes were super flavorful and the fish was some of the best I've ever had. Light, crispy, airy, flaky, moist. I'd drive the 2 hours back just for the fish and chips.
I rated a 3 for the experience based solely on the fact that it's a basic "pub" style restaurant, and nothing out of the ordinary in that aspect. They have a bar with a few TV's, and music playing over them. The bar seats about 8 people, where you can eat, and also a bunch of tables. They have 8 beers on tap, with some local choices. The food is excellent. I love seafood, and I pretty much order the teriyaki glazed salmon with real mashed potatoes. They also offer baked and fries. I've been here many times with friends and family, and we all come back for more, for a laid back, casual dining experience.
Food was excellent. Fried pickles crispy and tangy, the pretzel appetizer was cooked just right.
Entrees were very good. Fried seafood platter really surprised me. The breading was so light and fluffy, the scallops so tender they almost melted in my mouth, the shrimp cooked just perfect. And the fish...... So flaky and moist. Hubby got the fish and chips. The fish was so flaky and moist, yet not soggy. Crispy and fresh.
They have a nice selection of local beers and ales. The Allagash white was excellent.
Only two negative aspects were
1. I have onion allergy and an exceptional large part of menu (including soups and sides) I was unable to eat.
2. They are almost to light with the seasoning and salt.
Overall excellent experience, would highly recommend and we will be going back!
The food was tasty and fresh. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was a fun one.

If you're looking for a local business that cares about both its customers and quality - the Chocolate Haus is it. Great place to go for gifts or something for yourself. They won me over when I first stopped into the Bridgton store - and I'll continu
We had crispy pork gyoza, and crunchy shrimp tempura. Yum! The place was packed, the staff was hustling, people were waiting to get in. We were lucky to get two seats at the counter. Weâll get sushi next time when itâs not so busy. Loved the rock
As first-time visitors to Pleasant Mountain Ski Resort, we were thrilled with our experience! From the moment we arrived, the process was seamless and inviting. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the first-time ski lessons. Instructors Taylor
The rooms are a little dated, but that seems to be the norm for the age of the resort and area. The amenities are great! Lots of activities and equipment provided to enjoy the lake. The grounds do feel very peaceful. The swimming area is very nice a
One scoop goes a long way! Hope you have self control if you're on a diet because the portions are big! I got moose tracks, because I saw a moose that day, and it was full of peanut butter and chocolate goodness.

A group of five of us came here for breakfast, visiting from SC. We can't brag enough about how great this place was! I started with pumpkin spice latte followed by the homemade corned beef hash and cheese grits! Oh my gosh it was scrumptious, these
