The location was great and the lobby looked nice. Although I booked months ago, there was nothing but a ground floor room for a dog allergy room. Unfortunately, the shower was completely plugged, and one of the sinks was also not draining. The front desk told me that it is a known issue and that the owner had been in the room the day before fixing it. I’m puzzled why they didn’t actually call in a real plumber. For the price that I paid, I expected better. They did resolve the issue for the second night. There was mold along the bathtub tiles (as other reviewers have commented). They assured me that this was one of the quietest rooms and faced the back side. However, music and lobby noise could definitely be heard. Overall, I would give this hotel 2.5 stars.
Absolutely fantastic stay at the Bishop Hotel in Port Townsend! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The wine bar was a highlight with its stunning garden setting, perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine. The live music added a delightful ambiance, and the small plates were delicious. Our room was spotless, featuring new beds and fresh linens that made for a comfortable and charming experience. Every detail of our stay exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!
We stayed three nights at the Bishop. The town is beautiful, the hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are Victorian and the new owners apparently want to keep the charme, however, the hotel needs investment: the bathroom needs to be renovated badly as there was mould (or black dirt) in the shower of our room. The carpet seems old and needs to be replaced as well. We slept well, but housekeeping was not existing: beds were not made, no cleaning was done, toiletries were not restocked during a stay of three days, only bins were emptied and toilet paper was restocked. I fully support the reuse of towels and don’t mind using a towel for two or three days, but at a hotel I request a minimum of housekeeping standard given the price you pay-that’s why we chose hotels over airbnb. The kitchenette is handy since Port Townsend is a place for very early dinner (restaurants close at 9pm the latest). We had to use it one night as we returned late from Olympic NP and recommend to stock it with some more and bigger pots to be actually able to cook (pasta). The hotel seems to focus on the bottle shop and cafe which for sure has become a popular spot for locals in Port Townsend, but a little more focus on the hotel and its guests wouldn’t hurt.
this hotel was absolutely spectacular. the rooms are beautiful, the customer service was outstanding, & it was walking distance to everything. the courtyard in the back was beautiful. my boyfriend & i had wanted to sit by the fire & enjoy our dinner; the fire pit we sat at was broken but we’re not picky so we moved to a different one. we brought it to the employees attention that it wasn’t working & they accommodated to us the best way possible. i will definitely be staying here again in the future, it was an amazing time.
Great location right off the main drag. This hotel is a boutique hotel with charm and character. Our room was really spacious and decorated to reflect that charm. We were really happy with the service and accommodation. The courtyard at the back was the perfect end to the day to enjoy a drink at your own fire pit and watch the deer come to the garden. Will be back.
Wonderful spring break getaway for these two exhausted teachers. We were warmly welcomed and immediately offered suggestions of events happening at the hotel and restaurants to visit. What a charming location, the lobby is comfortable for a nice coffee or a glass of wine. There is a beautiful garden in the back. The room itself was nicely situated with a separate sitting area from the bedroom. Everyone was so friendly, making us feel right at home. Loved that we could walk to everything we needed.
Just had a great 4 night stay at the Bishop. Unique is every way. Can't beat the location for wandering around town and seeing the water. Best part is the people. The owners set the tone. They have to be the hardest working couple on the hotel biz. They manage the lodging to excellence and also manage a thriving wine, jazz, pasta, cafe type of thing in what normally would be a lobby area. Amazingly inventive. | Port Townsend is a gem and the Bishop reflects that in every way.
Loving this boutique hotel! Hospitable staff, SUPER comfy beds, great food + bev to enjoy in a gorgeous garden courtyard, very clean, and sweet jazz in the wine bar / café. Looked like the owners were working on some painting and improvements in the rooms too - what a fun project! ||Best hotel in Port Townsend, we'll be back!
Loved staying in this old building! So interesting and unique. The room felt enormous with it's crazy high ceilings. Perfect location. I know it's a historic building, but the rooms do feel like they could use an extra touch of historically accurate
We LOVE Marina Cafe! They have lunch everyday that comes with a salad, chips, cookie and soda and whatever hot sandwich/wrap is made for the day. On Thursday through Saturday evenings, they now have tapas, beer, cider and wine and it is the best thin
I went here for my first time today. It was amazing! I had absolutely no idea this museum and restoration shop was even here. This place helps kids get in to aviation too. I loved it. If I didn't live so dang far, I would definitely volunteer as an A
Wonderful park with great play areas and beautiful quiet areas to contemplate the universe. Be sure to check out the bench swing and many secret gardens
Our favorite restaurant in Port Townsend! So good we went 2 nights in a row during our trip. We came back for their amazing pasta and ice cream! The seasonal ice cream was apple pie and itâs the best! Their devil eggs and scallops are our favorites
My wife and I drove up from Poulsbo for the day to be tourists. We asked a local merchant for a recommendation. He gave us 3 choices and we chose the Fountain Cafe. Itâs a block from the main road but worth the walk.
Wow. The food was fantast
