The Birchy: Adventure Lodging by Base Hospitality (formerly Birchmont Motel) - Motel in Marquette - 2090 US-41, USA

Beautiful views of Lake Superior, lovely clean accommodations. All the amenities provided, coffee, soaps, refrigerator, thick towels with a fresh update. The bed very comfy.|The only two draw backs for us were the air conditioner struggled to keep the room comfortable and the 4 lane Hwy between The Birchy and Lake Superior. If you don’t mind the traffic this place was excellent.

We had a 4 day stay planned in July for a family vacation. We booked online. We had no hiccups in the booking process. Instructions were texted to us for check in and check out. We loved everything about the stay, price and location. Everything was clean and well maintained. Close to all the stuff we wanted to do between Marquette and pictured rocks. My only issue with the entire trip was we booked two rooms online and they put one room downstairs and the other room upstairs on the opposite side of the building. It would have been more convenient to be side by side.

Can't say my sister and I were impressed with the upgrades. The crew that remodeled forgot to install a pole in the closet for your clothing on hangers! Our main complaint was the most rude family next to us. They allowed their 2 and 4 yr. old children to run wild inside and out screaming most of the hour that we sat out on our area of the deck. Never seen such a lack of parenting and consideration of others staying there. The dad informed my sister the kids would be down by 10:30pm. Really?? There were also some "copycat" kids above us behaving the same way! We paid $200.00 a night for this??! Unbelievable lack of parenting! Regarding the room- The air conditioning wasn't working and the housekeeping people were lacks in stocking the coffee supplies-NO creamer or sugar. When I called to request someone bring some to the room I was told I'd need to come down the road to the Econo Lodge to get some! Lousy service and never saw any staff on site. Grass needed mowing and landscape plants were overgrown and flowers needed weeding. It was much more pleasant to stay here a few years ago when a lovely couple was on site. They took great care of the place. We will never stay here again.

We had an awesome time at the Birchy! The rooms were super clean and comfy, and the view of Lake Superior was breathtaking. They even had bikes, Yeti coolers, and a fire pit for us to use. It's not too far from town either, whether you wanna bike or drive. The only downside was the traffic noise, but they gave us a sound machine that helped block it out.

This place is great. Had a few small issues but easily resolved. The location right on the lake is ideal. Bike path, lake views, fire pit, cornhole, swimming pool. This place has it all and nicely updated. Will definitely be the first place I check when returning to the area.

I appreciate the effort and trying to update the rooms but try not to put the AC in front of the bed. It was blowing in my face all night and was also a very stinky room. Appreciate the upgrades voiced concerns to front desk and no action was taken. I wouldn’t recommend this room if you have any sensitivity to noise as you can also hear the person next to you as well as the busy highway outside or if you have any sensitivity to strong odors.

Newly remodeled rooms, clean, nice view of Lake superior from your deck or balcony. Close enough to town at a great price. There is some traffic noise but not horrible. no on site service desk all done through email or text messages. I would stay again.

The room was clean with a modern decor. A large window allowed a beautiful view of Lake Superior. Bed was a plush comfortable mattress. Chairs were a small metal affair, so not the most comfortable but serviceable. Enjoyed the experience, will stay again.
