We showed up while a band was playing on the outside patio. The ambiance is so nice and relaxing here, it is so cool to see the trains pass! Our waitress Hilary was so sweet and attentive she was amazing! We got the mozzarella moons and they were 10/10! I got the buffalo chicken salad and my boyfriend for the wings. Both amazing, would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a nice relaxing night out. Great experience, great service, we will definitely be back.
The food was good but not amazing. For just the food, I’d give them 3 stars. The service was friendly but not phenomenal. For just the service, I’d give them 3-3½ stars. The ambience and decor was very interesting. They get a full 4 stars from me for all the fascinating train-related pieces around the place.
I really liked it here! I was excited to go here for the unique environment. Our server was hospitable and food arrived promptly, warm and well-presented, and more importantly, tasty! The burger was perfect; if I hadn’t ate the appetizers (mozzarella moons), I surely would’ve downed the whole thing! I am so glad to have gone here; it felt cozy and comfortable, with the decorations and fixtures. Regulars stop by, and while this was our first time, I’d certainly come back.
In our ongoing goal of trying local restaurants in the area, tonight we tried the Berea depot. Upon pulling into the Parking lot, you can see it is architecturally very interesting. It is a registered historical site and the interior and exterior just begs to explore. We arrived around 4:30pm and were seated immediately. The section we sat in, we were alone initially but soon filled in with several more people soon after. Where we were seated and an excellent view of the train tracks that run parallel to the restaurant and each time a train passed by, several of the surrounding tables had children jump on chairs to marvel at the passing trains. Service was excellent, our waitress stayed on top of our beverages and refills and was by the table often without being overbearing. Food wise, for an appetizer, we ordered the Tempura fried mozzarella moons. They came out quickly and were clearly prepared and made in-house. They were stuffed with cheese and were quite tasty. The marinara sauce was also quite good but as a forewarning, the sauce is cold/cool so it contrasts against the hot wedges. For our main course, I got the turkey Cobb salad and a baked potato on the side. My wife got the short rib melt with fries. The Cobb salad was decently proportional for the price, the plating was well done and everything was as expected for a good turkey Cobb. Had the house Italian and that paired very well with the salad. The baked potato was perfectly done and exactly what I was looking for in a plain baked potato. The short rib melt was quite delicious as well. The onions were cooked expertly and the meat was well seasoned and flavorful. The fries were seasoned well and were great. For dessert, we got an order of cheesecake which was served with a few dollops of whipped cream and a raspberry drizzle. Cheesecake was a decent size and was good. All in all it was a great experience and will be a place we will come back to in The future for sure.
What a charming place to have a birthday celebration. Food was fabulous, service was wonderful with a 😄
The food was great. The fried mozzarella appetizer is one of the best around. I had the patty melt on rye. It was good but nothing extraordinary. The atmosphere is great, especially of you like history and trains. The service was also good. Our server was super friendly and attentive, gave lots of refills, and was fun. Overall if you want a quick bite this place is good.
First time here. Great experience. Food was delicious (son said best Reuben he's ever had) with large portions we all took half home. Our server was so nice showed us all around the different rooms as she saw we were interested in the beautiful decor. Thank you for such a wonderful time.
First time there, will not be our last! We really enjoyed our visit. The service: the hostess & server (Kierstan) outstanding. The food: absolutely wonderful. The property: interesting. The price: VERY reasonable! As we sat waiting for our entrees we heard and watched the staff tend to the other patrons. The entire staff was very accommodating. One table wanted relocated because of the abundance of children another group enjoyed. One dish delivered wasn't quite what was wanted and was quickly replaced for a gentleman. Each and every dish was ample in portion. We had nothing but a quality dining experience and plenty left-over to box up and take home. We were there with family from Florida and Missouri visiting. We sat and talked awhile (quite awhile!) but no one got antsy about us sitting so long and eventually ordered coffee & dessert. The dessert ordered was the bread pudding. WOW! The staff is so gracious. We just thouroughly enjoyed our time there. THANKS!
Can't beat the prices here! Great bar with free popcorn and a (mostly) reliable and friendly staff. Has quickly become one of our favorite spots to meet friends for a drink or meal.
This spot is beautiful. We came for a wedding and I want to return. So much great stuff is nestled in this area. Good size pond with ease of access for kayaks, plenty of room for fishing, there's a kid water park with a larger size slide, tons of gre
Such an adorable place to spend the day. Taking the kids to the park, plaza, walk around the main square is lovely and historical. There are public restrooms and friendly environment.
My family has been coming to Southwest golf center for several decades now. It was always a fun summer treat to drive out from Cleveland to the "far away" city of Berea to have ice cream at the Dairy queen and the. Play a round of mini golf. Now tha
