Very nice looking place - no surprises from the photos
Location was good right in center if town
Hallways and room smelled like chemical spray - not nice!
In the room there was a sound like a frog all night - I discovered an electronic insect/mouse repeller plugged in to the wall which made me nervous about mice snd insects so i did not have a good sleep.
Overall a poor experience and grossly overpriced.
This lovely small hotel right in the heart of Port Townsend. I walked to restaurants, the Saturday Farmers Market, and shops. The deck off the waterfront room was sunny and peaceful - perfect to enjoy morning coffee. Self check-in worked great, and the room was well stocked with everything I needed. Will definitely return when I'm in PT!
Note that the hotel was beautifully renovated in 2018, so older reviews (especially ones about food from the now-closed restaurant below) don't reflect the current experience.
We had a wonderful experience at this cute waterfront hotel! Marilou, the manager, was very helpful and responsive. The self-check in process was as smooth as can be, and the rooms were spacious and cozy. It’s also right in the heart of the downtown, so a perfect spot for a little weekend getaway. We would absolutely stay here again!
The hotel staff were wonderful, however, when I first saw this hotel I thought it was a strip club because the colours of the building were pretty tasteless. My room was adequate for my one night stay and the food in the restaurant bar was excellent. The location too, is very seedy with drug addicts loitering across the street and in the surrounding streets.||My major complaint is that although I had prepaid my stay entirely before arriving, I was asked to leave a deposit of $250CAD.||I didn't charge anything to my room and left it neat and tidy. At checkout I was expecting a refund of my deposit. It is almost a month since my stay and the amount of $250, although not taken out of my account, sits as a pending transaction with my bank. How is this legal, that an hotel can just delay clearing this amount from their books. I have attempted to phone from Australia to the hotel and cannot get through. I have sent two emails requesting that my deposit be released and have had no response at all.||Whenever I have left a deposit at hotels in the past and charged nothing to my room, my deposit is instantly released. I have to assume that they are not very efficient and have a "don't care" attitude.
I recently stayed at the Belmont for a special reunion. I was blown away by the attention to detail in every aspect of this hotel. The bed was the MOST comfortable I've ever slept in (did not want to get out of it). the sheets were pure silky heaven and the views unparalleled!!!! 2 waters, juices and plastic wine glasses perfectly arranged in the fridge. 2 huge beautiful blueberry muffins graced the pressed glass plates with REAL forks for our morning delight and THANK YOU GOD for a Kurig versus a small old coffee maker! The place was SPOTLESS and beds perfectly made, bathrobes perfectly hung in the wardrobe. Slept like a baby with the French doors opening onto the porch with the beach below and sounds of the waves gently lapping the shore. Watched the ferry going by and the sunset from the bed. LIFE IS SURELY GOOD! I will be back and will tell everyone I know! THANK YOU for a little slice of heaven! I felt like a Queen and my family can't stop raving about your hotel! I hadn't even gotten to the convenience to shopping and whale watching all within the same block as the hotel! AHHHHH
This hotel was beautifully furnished and very clean. We stayed in a waterfront room with double french doors that opened up to a large balcony. Bring a bottle of wine and a good book (no TV) and enjoy the water views on the balcony! Great downtown location and super easy check in.
Absolutely loved our room and the exposed brick wall. Everything was sparkling clean. We had an issue with the hot water and the service was prompt and courteous. Dinner was good, but not stellar, but their house made cheesecake was absolutely decadent. Would love it if this place had a deeper tub and better menu, but overall, our experience was lovely and we plan to come back and stay again.
Incredible views if you get ocean side room, best location in town.Super nice and attentive manager, luxurious king bed that you won't want to leave, handsomely refurbished rooms, fun bright red fridge with ample space. What a great place. Love the deck off oceanfront room. Bring earplugs and expect typical old building noises, voices carry. Also, early morning ferry horn and chattering seagulls, both of which we love. It will be top notch once all refurbishments are complete. Loft room has really great queen bed. You climb a ladder to access it and the ceiling height might be 5' 5". Keep these in mind for tall guests.
Loved staying in this old building! So interesting and unique. The room felt enormous with it's crazy high ceilings. Perfect location. I know it's a historic building, but the rooms do feel like they could use an extra touch of historically accurate
We LOVE Marina Cafe! They have lunch everyday that comes with a salad, chips, cookie and soda and whatever hot sandwich/wrap is made for the day. On Thursday through Saturday evenings, they now have tapas, beer, cider and wine and it is the best thin
I went here for my first time today. It was amazing! I had absolutely no idea this museum and restoration shop was even here. This place helps kids get in to aviation too. I loved it. If I didn't live so dang far, I would definitely volunteer as an A
Wonderful park with great play areas and beautiful quiet areas to contemplate the universe. Be sure to check out the bench swing and many secret gardens
Our favorite restaurant in Port Townsend! So good we went 2 nights in a row during our trip. We came back for their amazing pasta and ice cream! The seasonal ice cream was apple pie and itâs the best! Their devil eggs and scallops are our favorites
My wife and I drove up from Poulsbo for the day to be tourists. We asked a local merchant for a recommendation. He gave us 3 choices and we chose the Fountain Cafe. Itâs a block from the main road but worth the walk.
Wow. The food was fantast
