Your hotel is lovely but we had quite a few issues. First of all our key code would not work to get in the front door. We had to call and wait in the hot sun before they finally had to give us an alternate code. No apologies were given. After driving on a road trip all day, we just wanted to get into our room and crash. Also there was no designated parking for the hotel (you must find your own parking on the street), do not remember seeing this on the website. ALL of the outlets in the bathroom did not work! So I had to dry and do my hair without the use of a mirror. Very annoying. The shower pressure was almost non-existent! Took a long time to rinse all the shampoo from my hair. Everything else was great — the bed, the room, the eclectic and modern ambiance. But these issues we had put a damper on our whole experience; especially for the $180 price we paid.
My wife and I came to Louisville for a quick stay. We went to a few distilleries and walked around downtown. The Bellwether was a short drive from downtown, but we thought we were a long ways away. The hotel is located in a beautiful area with plenty of dining choices within walking distance. The entry into the hotel was seamless. The room was immaculate and the perfect size for what we wanted. We are already planning our next visit…with friends next time!
We live two miles from this hotel and never knew about it! We used it as a night out for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. It’s got a really cool vibe. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The bar attached also has a cool vibe and the bartender was really knowledgeable and gave us good conversation. Checking in and out was super easy, and I found communicating with text easy and effective with quick responses. We will recommend to others.
Incredible hotel! Beautiful impeccable rooms and spectacular location surrounded by great restaurants, independent cool retailers and quick access to all the Louisville sites! Remote check-in easy peasy with outstanding customer service just a text/call away. 10 stars! We will be back!!!
My husband and I live in the country and normally like to stay in a cabin in the woods. We wanted something a little different. The Bellwether did not disappoint! It had a small community feel that was private and quiet. The neighborhood is comprised of well landscaped, gorgeous, historic homes. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out with a rich history dating back to 1907. Access into the hotel and room was easy and secure. With its 1920’s decor and lots of great lighting, it was perfect for lots of memory making photos. We had dinner at the Nostalgic Bar and Restaurant which was equally beautiful and right next door. It was the perfect romantic getaway! Thank you Bellwether!!
The hotel is located at Louisville’s most historical area. The design of the hotel demonstrate lots of attentions to details. It was a wonderful experience from the first step in to the last step out. After walking all afternoon at Cherokee park, we stopped at Nostalgic cafe, which is connected to the hotel. Our server; Careen made us feel like she is our local friend we visited.
We spent one night at the Bellwether. It’s very comfortable, quiet, and clean. The location was perfect for us as well. Surrounded by excellent food options and across from Carmichael’s books. Self check-in was simple and easy. The decor is refreshingly tasteful and non-conformist unlike chain hotels. We were happy to support this independent hotel and highly recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Bellwether for a long weekend. The room was stylish and comfortable. The whole hotel has a cool vibe. The location is amazing ... right across the street from an independent bookstore. There is no dedicated parking so a couple of nights we had to drive around the block to find a spot, but it was no problem at all. We'll be back.
What an incredible experience! When I booked this place I was really nervous because it seemed too good to be true and I was so relieved to arrive and see that it was actually even better than the photos made it seem. My 40 friends and I took over th
I adored this hotel. Itâs absolutely gorgeous inside and out. It is so much more beautiful on the inside. The âHot Brownâ plate is great! I would definitely visit again. Iâve been 2 times in a year. Since Iâm originally from Florida I donâ

We stumbled in here after grabbing food around the corner. We had a great experience. The bartenders were knowledgeable. As a bonus, they were having happy hour all day because it was Sunday. I think our old fashioned were $6 each. They were wonderfu
