We were in a Junior Suite and it was lovely. I nit picked at the cleaning, i.e. desk had dust in the corners. There were places where the wall cracked (maybe) almost looked like paper buldged out and cracked. In the bathroom, the upper mold trim just stopped part way. One of the pillows was very soft and the other very hard. The bed was comfortable along with the linens. It was very clean. Breakfast was outstanding, the only improvement would be to have a second juice available with the orange juice and the coffee station in the hall was appreciated. All of the staff were incredibly friendly.
The Historic building was nice to stay in. To think that it is so old and hosted so many visitors is neat to wonder about. It is moderately priced and within walking distance of so much. The breakfast was surprisingly very good and the staff were so polite and friendly. The only suggestion is that they had wine glasses in the room but no corkscrew.
Super well located in the city. The rooms are large and well furnished ( with a large bath stub for 2 in the suite). It is not well isolated, so you can hear the street below and see the light in the night. Great breakfast
Great location, free parking and breakfast are a huge plus. Rooms are outdated, no lock on our bathroom door, our door lock from outside didnt work well and mattress and pillows can use a refresh, but overall a great stay for 4 for lowest price in center of town I found.
I stayed at this bed and breakfast for my birthday weekend. I was checked in by Kim at The Inn on Bellevue located on the corner since there isn't a check-in/check-out person in the hotel itself. Kim was very friendly and helpful with providing me with all the details I needed for my stay. My room was on the first floor, which was convenient, so I didn't have to drag my baggage too far from my car. The room itself is pretty small (including the shower) and somewhat outdated and where it needs some work, but overall, it is clean. The bed was comfortable, and they provided plenty of hot water to take a shower. They don't provide certain amenities, such as a coffee maker (there is one in the lobby), microwave, or telephone. Now for the "breakfast" part of the bed and breakfast. The breakfast is served at 8 am until I believe 10 am and it is located downstairs. They have standard breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, pastries, pancakes, and waffles that is served buffett style. From the cooked items I have gotten, everything was good, and the staff that waited on me was friendly. This hotel is in a good location, near a lot of shops and points of interest. Also, a major plus is that they provide free parking for all guests. In closing, I really enjoyed my stay and would book a reservation here again in the future.
Lots of lodging options in Newport. You won’t go wrong with Bellevue Manor.|Location is PERFECT! Central to many restaurants, stores and museums. Walkable to so many of Newport’s key sights and experiences. Don’t want to walk? No problem. Trolley stop is on corner.||Front porch has lots of comfortable seating. Nice to watch the Newport life coming and going. You can chat with other guests, read a book, enjoy a beverage, or sit quietly and contemplate life. Very relaxing.||We stayed in Suite 110. First floor, by front door, large windows looking out to front porch, nice sitting area, comfy bed, enclosed closet space, spacious bathroom and shower had great water pressure, and just steps to free breakfast. ||Keep in mind the building is old and you might hear your upstairs neighbor if they are stomping around. We did not hear guests in next room. You will hear road noise as this room faces Bellevue Ave. However, it’s not overwhelming. It becomes white noise and doesn’t affect TV watching, nor conversations if sitting out on front porch.||Our few issues include something others have mentioned: inconsistent housekeeping. Always got new towels but hit or miss emptying trash and making bed. No real deal breakers. We were annoyed by a few other things: No smoking on grounds not enforced. We hated walking across front porch through someone’s smoke (rare but annoying); parking lot is small and even tighter when an idiot straddles lines. Grrr; and my pet peeve, thin scratchy toilet paper. Arghhh. ||After several days at the Bellevue Manor the pros far outweigh the cons. We will definitely stay here again.
First off, let me state that Newport is our "Happy Place." We love going there and we go 2-3 times a year. We have been going there since 2009 on a regular basis. We have stayed at many B&Bs there, but NONE more than once. This was a last-minute trip I made as a surprise for my wife. Some of the B&Bs have been OK, others have been terrible. ||This Bellevue Manor was the exception. Outstanding.||I worked with Amy on the phone to find a nice room for us. She was so wonderful to work with, I knew this was going to be a great weekend. The check-in process was painless. Free parking was a real plus. We realize our TV didn't work (cable issue). We let Amy know as we headed out for the day. She was all over it. When we returned (2-3 hrs later) she was STILL working on it. Looks like it was a cable company issue that was un-solvable by her. She even purchased a new TV to resolve the issue. Unbelievable, Amy moved us to another room so I could have my TV to watch the Bruins and F1 racing. The rooms were both wonderful. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were adequate. I don't want to mislead you. They were not AMAZING, but certainly adequate. They were very accommodating to my wife, she is GF. They made her GF pancakes and GF French toast, which was so kind. I just want to say, that we will continue to go here. We were BOTH so happy with the accommodations, staff and location. We had a wonderful weekend, and this is exactly what my wife needed....me too. Please stay here if you want a wonderful time and a great value for your money. Also, go to Lucia's on the cobblestone portion of Thames. We love it there and Lucia is so great. I wish I could give this place and AMY more than 5 stars. We look forward to going there again. We stayed in rooms 119 and 122 I believe. Hope this helps you.
This is an awesome inn! The location is great! The staff accommodating and you feel at home as soon as you arrive. ||Our boys (two cat brothers) loved the room! It was quaint, close to the breakfast patio, just enough room and the boys played and felt comfortable right away. ||A neighbor left their poor dog alone and barking for almost two hours, which we and other neighbors called about. The Inn staff took care of it right away but the neighbors didn’t arrive for a while. (The poor dog)||This is an awesome place to stay. The breakfast is decent, but the staff are great! ||We will be back! Keep up the great work! Love how pet friendly they are!
Stayed here for our 1 night getaway to Newport. We stayed in the Cottage room and it was nicely private, clean and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were are very pleasant and hospitable. The location makes you feel like youâr
