We have been going to The Bell for several years now and tried pretty much on the Friday menu. Everything has always been good but tonight I had the Poor man's with garlic mashed potatoes and it was the best I have ever had. We were so happy with everything tonight.
Dropped our sleds here for a day of riding. Went in for something to eat. Really friendly staff, and the food was great.
Food was amazing. Service was good, was just busy. Old Tavern vibes.
If you go for Friday Fish Fry, be ready to wait a while. First and foremost, food was great. Very long wait and the what can always make that easier is a full glass of "Spirits" and good friends. I had the friends but the glass was always empty. Bartender was extremely busy with filling glasses and running the food bills. Honestly took 10-15 minutes to get a drink. This could all be avoided by having waitresses take care of the bills.
The only reason I gave the Service 3 stars was because one of my friends showed up late and waitress was able to get another plate of fish in a short time. Otherwise service would be 1 star.
Baked cod was dry. Couldnt eat any more after the health code violations I've seen made me sick. Picture of fan on the floor had wet towels I watched people switch out and use to dry dishes with. Yuck. On top of lady who was bringing coslaw out right after she stuffed her face with food gross. People touching there face then food plates going out, wish I wasent seated facing the kitchen. 67$ meal 3 people. Smdh. What a waste of money. This place should be shut down.
I was severely disappointed in Bell Tavern. I went to this place for the first time on Friday night. They were busy and me, my husband, in-laws and daughter waited by the bar for a table, as is the custom.
In this time, an extremely drunk man approached us and stood behind my daughter. Again it was crowded and we were waiting so it wasn't a big deal. Until the man first put his arm around my daughter then inappropriately began rubbing her side, reaching up for her chest.
Me and my whole family witnessed this and immediately told the man to stop, obviously upset. My daughter is 22 so she is not a minor but this was still unacceptable. HOWEVER, we told the bar tender what had happened and to iur shock, we were completely ignored. The man was allowed to remain in the bar and stayed watching me and my daughter until we moved to a table. Upon asking to speak with a manager, the woman who said she was the manager said she's sorry that happened but they are busy.
First, the man was allowed to stay because the bar tender seemed to know him. Second, an establishment that is a common locale for family dinners should never say they are too busy to address what could have been considered an assault. We were disrespected, hurt, and just upset by what took place because a man was "known" by people in the establishment and he was allowed to inappropriately touch my daughter and stay with us. They said because they didn't see it themselves there wasn't really anything they could do but all of my family saw it.
Obviously, we will never return there and I would warn people to beware of this because it could easily happen again. It saddens me that this was not taken seriously by anyone at the establishment, especially as something that could have been much worse had me and my family not stepped in when we did and stopped the man ourselves.
Great place for getting together with family and friends. Great food, great prices, and great staff. 👍
Great little tucked away gem with a supper club type feel. Small dining area, really great prices and food. All you can eat PRIME RIB and broasted chicken on Wednesdays for a price that was low enough that I wondered how they profited.
