The Bee and The Biscuit - Restaurant in Virginia Beach - 1785 Princess Anne Rd, USA

Yesterday my Friend and I visited this beautiful little spot and I can’t say wow enough. We used to love to frequent brunch spots all the time when she and I lived in San Diego together so we searched and found the bee and the biscuit here. First off we were greeted right away, and it was a little busy for a Thursday morning but I can imagine it has to do with the exceptional service. We waited less than five minutes and actually were told we could sit at the bar which we happily obliged. I ordered water and my friend got the late flights which were absolutely gorgeous. The head chef came out with a nice little tasting of whipped goat cheese and like a berry jam which I thought was just a lovely touch and tasted so good I was primed and ready for the food now. I ordered a mushroom melt with a side of fruit and I was not disappointed. I want to take a moment to acknowledge the cohesive team effort among the restaurants staff too it was clear they were busy yet they all seamlessly worked together, and each were adding to the lovely experience which included cleanliness, and very reasonable wait times. I like many others eat with my eyes and when my friend and I received our food right away presentation was outstanding my picture doesn’t do it justice since I had started nibbling right away. The mushrooms were tender in my melt the spinach was vibrant and not bitter, and the side of fruit was so fresh the berries were very flavorful. It’s very obvious to me that the chef and the people here have passion for what they do and care about the experience they provide. Thank you thank you thank you. Lovely experience.

Love this bustling place! Had a chance to visit VB for the holidays and found this breakfast place so we gave it a try. We went during lunch rush so we had to wait for about 30-40 minutes, but it was so worth it! Food came out quick, we ordered Biscuit Basket which you can choose from Original, Orange or Apple cider. Lieutenant Dan omelet was my favorite, it was fresh and well-seasoned. Don't forget to try out their Specialty latte, I got salted honey latte, and I loved it. They also offer latte flights and mimosa flight if you feel like trying something new. There is an automatic 18% tips added to every check though, so that is the only down side, other than the wait time I would love to come back here again. We had a great time.

We've been here a few times with different family and friend groups. The food is always excellent as are the drinks. Pay attention though because they tried to charge me extra for a biscuit when I wasn't charged a few weeks prior and it's included on the menu.

Adorable cottage restaurant with a large following. I popped in midweek midday not having any idea that they usually have long waits. Valet parking when you pull up and then add your name to the list. Food is amazing. There was no way I could finish it all didn't stop me from trying I asked for recommendations off of the menu and they did not steer me wrong Ordered: 📍 Steak and Egg Griddle Comes with the buttermilk biscuit and I had a strawberry sauce that was amazing Since I was out running around I couldn't have a cocktail but watching them make them I definitely want to give some of them a try next visit

First time dining here and I can say, we'll be back here again. My family took me here for Father's day so it's expected to be very busy. Arrived about 10 minutes after they opened and still waited for an hour for a party of 5. Worth the wait though. Love the atmosphere even at the waiting area. Bar outside so you can enjoy drinks while you wait. Food is excellent. I tried what everyone is talking about, Bay Crab Benedict and it was delicious. We all tried different items and everyone enjoyed what we ordered. Our waitress did a fantastic job! Thank you!

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Totally worth the drive and the wait! Fantastic and fun drinks outside while you wait, and once you get inside. All food delicious, especially biscuits and honey butter! Exceptional eggs Benedict and stuffed French toast!

beautiful restaurant, so warm and cozy and comfortable. the whole staff was extremely welcoming and nice, but our server was amazing! i can’t remember her name but she had short hair, glasses, a beanie and vans. she was super chill and patient with us. she was one of the best servers i’ve ever had. and the food was 10/10, it felt like a warm hug. thank you for the awesome experience!

The atmosphere was soo inviting! I was visiting the Beach and it was off the beaten track but worth it! The mimosa flight were a great shareable. I had the lieutenant Dan!” The seafood omelette. The grits were creamy and cheesy. I loved the sunflower motif too
