Treasure find. Are you kidding me? What a wonderful find while in town for work. The beautiful restaurant lives up to its name with wonderful staff and delicious eats. The highlight of the meal, of course, was the baked banana pudding. I first that I have experienced outside of a family home, and its that family feeling that this place provides is the reason its earned my coveted "Certified Mad Good" rating. A must try for those in the area
Good-tasting soul food! Reasonable prices. I usually order a vegetable plate, which includes 3 sides, cornbread, and a drink...all for $9. Long, slow lines, but definitely worth the wait! Order the banana pudding! Update Visit Visited with my son. He enjoyed the meal, and you know I did, too. I have been here several times and will be back soon. Did I say the prices are extremely reasonable?
I drive by all the time but today was my first visit. A friend and I ordered Fried Chicken, ribs, oxtail, cornbread, spinach, rutabagas and Mac and cheese. All amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rates were reasonable and the portions were generous. Everything was perfectly cooked and well seasoned but not salty at all. It felt like family.
Quick in and out, friendly servers with a Southern Grandma vibe. To be honest, the food didn't look very appetizing in terms of colour so I went with the BBQ Beef Ribs and they were beyond amazing. Falling off the bone, so tender I thought it would melt in my mouth, great flavour. Makes me open to the other menu options the next time I'm in ATL. Could do without the sides however, but those ribs... chef's kiss.
Good food for the soul Iconic historic Atlanta restaurant. Went about an hour before closing for a veggie plate. They didn't have the veggies I was craving, however I wasn't disappointed with the choices. The cornbread was a little crumble but the taste was good. Glad it wasn't sweet. The "teamonade " is a great quench thirst. The Beautiful never disappoints.
First time visiting. Food was ok, kind of bland. Not nasty but not soulful. My servers were nice other young lady wasn’t so nice to customer before me.
OmFg the food is so good. The lines are worth waiting for. I got the oxtails, pinto beans and rice, cornbread dressing and blackberry cobbler. Every single thing was worth ordering again.
