Went to dinner there. Past experiences have been very good. This time was terrible. We had reservations for the copper top bar area. We were told that was not available and had to sit in the lower area with people walking by all the time.. Ordered appetizers and entrees. The entrees came before the appetizers so by the time we ate appetizers, our food was cold. Not enamored with the service at all.
Had dinner here the other night because we were celebrating a birthday, and well, let’s be honest because I love food. The group pretty much ordered just about everything on the menu. Overall it was just ok. Nothing blew our socks off. IMHO, if you put an old fashioned on the menu it better have an orange and a fancy drink cherry, and it better be muddled with a dash of bitters. Also, VT is a stones throw away (even if you reside in NH), your cheese board should have more than two cheeses. When making pasta, please make sure to salt your water well and don’t rinse the pasta before you serve it.
We had lunch on Easter Sunday… 3 adults ordered 3 roast beef dinners, the price was extortionate but we thought this meal will be amazing…. Not even close… Sunday lunch was served in a pasta bowl…. one carrot one parsnip, mash, cabbage, 2 small fatty pieces of beef and a yorkshire pudding…. the food was only warm no condiments were offered…. The worst roast dinner ever….. Please save your money and drive passed this restaurant
Delicious meal! The greens salad & artisan cheese plate was delicious. We each got a burger, gluten free, no bun and roasted Potatoes, it was an absolutely delicious meal, creme brulee for dessert. The atmosphere was exceptional. The service, Michelle, was wonderful! Wow! Absolutely delicious, excellent service, great portions; great place; thank you!!
New Year’s Eve Dinner with friends in the private dining room in front of the fireplace. Delicious meals with beyond generous portions! Outstanding service. Tasty beverages from the bar. The best way to close one year & begin the next. Highly recommend. Thank you Beal House!
Great atmosphere, superb service, and great food. We found it to be a bit pricey for the fair we got. We had the chicken pot pie of which I liked, but my wife found it to be less than what she expected.
We celebrated my father’s 90th birthday at the Beale House. Food, service and setting were all fabulous. Could not have been a more delightful experience! There were 17 of us and they made us feel so welcome! We gathered in a separate function room, which was lovely and easily able to accommodate us. They arranged a limited menu for us so people had choices—and they printed up the menu and had one at each place setting, with Happy Birthday written on top. Highly recommend!!
We love to dine at the Beal House with good friends on a cold December evening! This place always feels magical and the food is outstanding. Adam, the chef, is generous and welcoming, and Amanda, our server, was easygoing and attentive. Excellent five star evening all around! Thank you!
What a treat. Small, quaint dining room in historic building on Main Street. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was delicious and the chef delivered a number of the courses personally. Service was great.
