We had a phenomenal experience! Catharine, Sharon, and Ellen are the best! The breakfasts were amazing, and Happy Hour was an unplanned extra! We stayed in "The Coop" and can't wait to stay in "The Jenny" when we visit again! Such a pretty property...an absolute 10 out of 10!

My wife and stayed here for a weekend getaway and boy did we love it! Every single detail is thought out and intentional. The ladies that own it are so friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. The property is peaceful, the breakfast & snacks were delicious, and the room was comforting. The slow pace here allowed us to enjoy the lake, walk the town of Hartwell, grill out on property, and truly relax.

What a wonderful experience! This B&B was truly beautiful. It was also clean and quite accommodating. I brought my daughter with me for a mommy and me weekend getaway and we loved it. The owners were so kind and the hospitality was wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

From the moment we checked in, we knew this B&B was different. First the welcome from Ellen was so warm and friendly we almost felt as if we had known her for a long time. Second, when we checked into our room (the Fig) we were amazed at how well it was decorated, absolutely spotlessly clean, beautiful, and we should add very comfortable bed. The bathroom with two vanities and a huge shower was wonderful. The grounds on this 52 acre piece of property were so well landscaped and cared for and the aura of the Beacon was immediate serenity. The happy hour appetizers, and the breakfasts all homemade were absolutely outstanding. Having spent much of our career in hospitality mostly in hotels and restaurants, it takes a lot to impress us but The Beacon is over the top great. Their attention to every little detail is amazing. Most important however is the staff. They take the brick and mortar so to speak, and bring it to life in manner that sets them apart from most other places we have experienced, here in our own country or around the world. Catherine, Ellen, Sharon make you feel like you have always been really good friends and they not only meet your needs, they anticipate and exceed them. They are passionate about what they do and it clearly shows. We so much enjoyed all three of them. We can't wait to go back.

This B&B is over the top. It is so beautiful and clean, inside and out. The landscaping is gorgeous and the farm/land fun to walk and explore (and pet the donkeys!). They have a sumptuous breakfast every morning at whatever time you choose, and snacks at night during happy hour. They were so welcoming and accommodating to anything you need. The last night we sat on the porch, first outside in the open air and then later on the screened in patio, and watched a full moon rise over the pasture. It just was perfect. We will be back!!

We Loved our weekend at the Beacon! The house is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and our bed was the most luxurious, comfortable bed we had EVER slept in other than our own! Everything seems to be centered around peace, serenity and comfort. The hosts are amazing and the breakfast they prepared each morning was gourmet and delicious. Even though it rained all weekend and we did not get a chance to use the lake, we still enjoyed ourselves in the town of Hartwell. There is a really nice, large screened in back porch with a fireplace that we used each evening while having a glass of wine and in the mornings with coffee. The grounds are meticulous and gorgeous overlooking pastures with donkeys and a chicken coup. We can't wait to return this summer and enjoy the lake and kayaks!

Beautiful place!! Looks just like the pictures in person! Furnished beautifully and very clean. The farm/outdoor pasture areas are so beautiful especially at sunset. They have everything you need! Perfect little getaway for a few days! The breakfast food is also so delicious!! The ladies that run it are so sweet and accommodating!
