The Beachcomber Motel - Motel in Fort Bragg - 1111 N Main St, USA

Let me start by saying this motel is in such a gorgeous location. Our second-floor room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach is also just spectacular. Huge rock formations and soft sand made this our favorite stop of the trip. Walking the beach at night was just magical. As others have mentioned, there is no A/C which seemed odd as our room got rather stuffy; however, a box fan was provided upon request and we slept with the sliding door open all night and it was peaceful. It was really nice to see the ocean from our beds also. The bathroom was comically small and uncomfortable. I did not mind the sink outside of the bathroom, but traveling as a family was awkward when there was not enough room to get dressed in the bathroom. I was also surprised that no breakfast was provided or offered; however, the coffee in the lobby was really good. We only stayed one night, so we did not use the bikes or fire pits, but both looked enjoyable. I really appreciated having actual mugs in the rooms also - it is nice to sit on the deck with an actual cup of coffee. The staff was all very friendly and gave great dining recommendations.

I had the dog friendly hot tub room on the second floor. It was great! Room was very cute and clean. The couch and bed were so comfy! I loved the ocean view from the room. Staff was friendly and allowed me to park in the parking lot while I waited for my room to be ready (I arrived early) and go spend a few hours at the beach. I regret not staying another night and can't wait to come back. It would have been nice to grab some breakfast but overall I loved this place and will absolutely stay again.

I loved this hotel. The location was perfect. From our second story balcony, I could see the ocean. without even opening the sliding doors. There were several trails overlooking the beach that you could take right from there, and glass beach was only a ten minute walk away. So much to do, and you didn't need to move your car. To grab a bite to eat, you did have to get into the car. ||I will say that the place was very clean, but the bathroom fixtures were dated. The sink is outside the bathroom, and I really prefer not to have the set up this way. The bed was super comfortable and I loved the white linens. The parking lot was a bit difficult to maneuver with a larger car, but there are plenty of slots available with a couple of places to plug in an electric car or a Tesla. Housekeeping does not clean your room unless you request it, and you can always get fresh towels. ||I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to a friend.

The hotel held our family well. Our second story room had a stunning panoramic view that included the Pudding Creek Bridge, a wide expanse of ocean, and a green nature area between the hotel and water. I appreciated how our family had such ready access to the bridge, the nearby nature area with dirt trails, the ocean, a safer water area for children to play just inland from the bridge where Pudding Creek flows into the ocean, as well as the paved Fort Bragg Coastal Trail that runs along the back side of the hotel. Due to the proximity to all these areas, I find this is a great place for families, as there is no need to load kids/teens in the car to enjoy different landscapes. To me, this hotel is all about the location.

The location with the view from balcony is exquisite. At the end of the stay, we were dejected that we didn’t stay here for 2 days instead of a single day. The rooms are spacious with a large tv. Access to the beach is literally 3 minutes and glass beach is at 15 mins walking distance. The bathroom is a bit small and antiquated though.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this motel this last weekend and I really can't say enough good about how kind the staff is. The rooms are beautiful and we were fortunate enough to get a room with a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was very clean and they use high quality products. Such a wonderful stay!! Thanks so much to the lovely staff for making it so special for us!

I love visiting Fort Bragg along the central California coast, especially because the Beachcomber Inn is incredibly dog friendly. They even have their own dog park, right there near the beach, with connections to two of the individual dog-friendly rooms. The only downside to our visit this time was the total lack of wifi in our room. I complained on the first day, and was told maintenance would fix it. When it was still not working the next day I was told maintenance could not fix it and that the internet provider was contacted. But the issue was never resolved, which was a bummer because I had taken photos for a charity event several days previous and without cell service or wifi could not share them with the organizers.

My husband booked this motel for a birthday weekend for me. The location of this hotel is just spectacular right on Pudding Creek Beach underneath the trestle. The motel itself has seen some wear and tear but the staff was really friendly and the linens and bedding were excellent and the facility was clean. We had two queen beds on the bottom floor and you can walk right out to the strand or right out to the beach. The motel is located just outside of town on the North side. It makes it really easy to get into town for a meal but you feel a little bit more out of the city.
