We spent our 20th Anniversary over an extended weekend mid-September in one of the Andrew Tate condos. It was absolutely wonderful and worth the extra cost. We were greeted with a hand written note and a bottle of wine. The condo was clean, fully stocked with dishes and modern. The little deck off the condo is so fun. You can view main street, the Deck restaurant and the action on the water. Noise was not an issue as the bedroom is on the backside of the condo. Location is excellent. Minutes from the ferry, shops and all the restaurants. We parked and never moved the car except to go on a kayaking trip. We ordered a salad and peanut chicken sandwich at the Deck and both were excellent. Top notch customer service at front desk and at The Dock. Highly recommend.
The views say it all! Located atop a hotel right in the heart of Bayfield, The Deck at The Bayfield Inn boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the Greatest Lake. As it pertains to food and beverage, the food and drinks are decent enough, though they’re not the reason we return year after year… It’s all about the location.
The menu boasts a short, but sweet, offering list of appetizers, sandwiches, and fish tacos, with a few vegetarian options, too. Kids can eat for a mere $8, which includes a side and fountain drink, and adults can enjoy Bloody Marys and local on-tap craft beer.
Logistical considerations: Despite being an outdoor venue, The Deck is not pet friendly. Also, every year we’ve visited, there’s been a healthy presence of wasps, bees, and things that may sting. We’ve literally NEVER had a problem, but if you’ve got little kids that scare easily, or if you have an allergy, it’s a worthwhile consideration.
Rooms are super clean, modern, quiet, and comfortable. View is perfect. Desk staff is attentive and friendly. Price is reasonable for what you get. Free, reserved parking a plus. Close to everything!
By far, the nicest, most comfortable and clean place I have ever stayed! The hospitality is First Class, the staff is friendly and welcoming.
The condo was fully equipped with every amenity and more. I would definitely return!
Great spot with stunning view of the lake. We are breakfast at their restaurant twice and both times the food was great. Served hot in timely manner and portions were good for the price. We stayed in the hotel one night and was very pleased and comfortable. The room was clean. It was a little pricey but that is to be expected in a such a beautiful area. Can’t say enough about the staff, especially check in staff in late afternoon. We had an issue getting into the room. We notified the staff and they were on top of it! They upgraded our room to view side at no additional charge and we were unwinding within about 10 minutes. Evidently we visited about one week before summer tourism starts but it was perfect for us
DO NOT ORDER DECK NACHOS!! Big disappointment (1 Sept 23). They pour a cheese sause over it and the chips are soggy and limp. The chicken tasted horrible. All for $18.00!
Good Grief... Use real cheese and chicken that's fresh.
Enjoyed the resturant. Would go back. Good food and nice view of the lake from the dinning room. They also a nice kid's menu and high chairs.
Very nice place, beautiful view of lake Superior and good location. Recommend for stay or 2 for sure!

The Artesian House B&B is a wonderful place to stay during your visit to Bayfield. The furnishings are high quality and very comfortable and the rooms are quiet. The hosts Christine and Dennis make you feel like you have been friends for years and t
My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our recent stay at Becky and Mike's Pinehurst Inn B&B. The room was immaculate and the little touches provided were so thoughtful. Becky's breakfasts were incredibly delicious and not to mention the afternoon treat
This is an excellent place to spend a weekend. Kayaking, picnic, hiking, sea caves, and one of the most well groomed trails I've ever got to partake in. Parking is very very limited so get there early or prepare to park far away. Kayak and boat launc
Breathtakingly beautiful. We spend almost every weekend on our sailboat in the islands and it feels like there is always something new to explore. The lighthouse tours are all wonderfully educational. Also, highly recommend the fish camp on Manitou
This motel is so perfectly located! Close to all the shops and restaurants in Bayfield. And just across the street from the harbor and Madison Island Ferry! Room was clean, bed was comfy, and even had a few âextrasâ in the cupboard (paper plates/
The food was excellent! We were glad we went when we did! The staff were very nice, and had good recommendations for the area. The view from the deck is fantastic! Try the alfrado with whitefish! We would return here if we visit Bayfield again.
