What a beautiful historic mansion inn! The decor was amazing, with caring attention to detail. The owner just glows with southern hospitality & and pride for the history she fabulously restored in the inn. She is kind and helpful, with great recommendations for site-seeing & dining. The historic inn and grounds are very inviting & beautifully restored. The room was very spacious with beautiful tall ceilings, well furnished, quiet and clean. The claw-foot tub was a nice, romantic touch. It was like stepping back in time while still enjoying modern amenities like comfortable AC, kitchenette with fridge & TV. The grounds are lush & shaded with several patios & porches, even a coy pond. It was so quiet & relaxing, like a park surrounding the inn. We enjoyed it being so easily accessible from the highway & easy to navigate into downtown Louisville. Check out all of the amazing murals, historic maps, and photos throughout the rooms and mansion. The owner Cynthia has so many stories to tell about the history of the region, so just ask!
I loved staying here! It’s beautifully historic, in an oasis of trees and a quaint retro neighborhood that I loved walking around. it was my first time in Louisville so being 20 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from the country was perfect. The room was so beautiful and comfortable, I took a bath everyday! Cynthia and Drew are warm and wonderful hosts. Thank you!
I spent the weekend at the Bashford Manor Inn while visiting Louisville. It's a lovely old manor home turned into a B & B. The rooms are large and bright, the bed and pillows comfortable and there are amenities in the room such as a fridge, coffeemaker and microwave. The bathroom was large with a clawfoot tub/shower. The owner/hostess was welcoming and helpful. Plenty of off-street parking. Highly recommend staying here.
This location is absolutely stunning. The charm and beautiful detail is reminiscent of some of the most beautiful historical homes in Louisiana, where my husband is from. My favorite room was so inspirational in the enclosed newly-designed and perfectly decorated porch. I can't wait to visit again!! Don't miss this incredible historical home in Louisville, Kentucky.
Attended an afternoon tea at the Bashford Manor. The grounds and manor are beautiful. Love the murals painted on the walls. Had good food and a great tea selection. The folks serving us were so nice and attentive. The owner of the Inn gave us a bit of a tour and discussed the interesting history of the Inn. I highly recommend

The Bashford Manor is one of the hidden treasures of Louisville. The house is stunning, as well as the property that surrounds it. It’s a little oasis among a bustling city. I personally stayed in one of the carriage house suites. The suite was very nice, and clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The ample parking was so convenient. Additionally, Cynthia is such a kind and accommodating woman. She provided us with lots of information about Louisville, and made sure that we had a great time. She’ll also share some spectacular history with you, if you’re a history buff! I couldn’t have been happier with this stay. If you’re here reading the reviews, go ahead and book it! You won’t be disappointed!
