The Barn Original - American restaurant in Wyckoff - 359 Sicomac Ave, USA

This place has such a great American gastropub / sports bar vibe. I loved all the carved initials and names all over the walls! The menu is simple. Everything you would want in an American gastropub, you can find here. The cocktails were 50/50. Some were great, most were pretty average. I would not recommend getting a speciality cocktail. The clam chowder was also a split decision. One person enjoyed it, the other passed and ordered the French onion soup, which was better. The ribs were soft, and saucy. They were one of the best things we ordered. Pass on the fish and chips, they are a greasy mess. The garlic mashed potatoes, forgot the garlic. Also, a pass. Both burgers were great, I would highly recommend them as a choice. Personally, I ordered the rib eye salad. It was very good and a generous portion. It has so much steak! The desserts were not worth it. Pass on those. Overall, I love the vibe. If I were to return, it would be to have a standard cocktail at the bar and a burger, nothing more.

A very unique place to have a meal, the barn is in wonderful condition and has clearly been well cared for by the owners over the past many, many, many years. The ribs were fall off the bone and very satisfying, but the burger was very average. Service was good and I liked that they had local beers on tap. A very nice experience while in the area.

One of the last restaurants left that hasn't lost its original atmosphere and identity that kept them in business for decades. If you really want to eat like a local when you are in town the Barn is the only place left to go. It's not often you can label a restaurant "true Americana" but this is one of them. Eli the owner is always there greeting you and making sure you're enjoying your meal.

Have been a patron of The Barn for decades. The rustic, cozy atmosphere and awesome food have drawn me back time and time again! Even with a line at the door, the crew work quickly and efficiently to get you seated as quickly as possible. When I think of their burgers, my mouth begins to water! All of their food is prepared well, and arrives quickly at your table. There's plenty to choose from on their menu, for adults and kids alike. They have a great selection beer, and non alcoholic beverages, and will prepare your mixed drink (if that's your thing) to perfection. The Barn is family friendly so feel free to bring the kids. Parking can get a bit tricky in the tight lot, but, it always works out fine in the end (you may need to que-up for a spot). Watch carefully for the entrance driveway, which is also a bit tricky to find when it's dark. Over the MANY DECADES The Barn has been in operation, hundreds have carved their names into the tables (mine included)... just another point to love about this amazing place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 😎

I rated this place a few years ago as went in for a burger and it was very disappointing. I went in the other day and ordered the starter ribs and a martini - the ribs were outstanding. They have added outside seating and the entrance is now towards the back and there is valet parking. All very new - will be back to try another burger!

A great little gem tucked away. Great menu and a gentleman who I think was the owner even came over when he saw we did not finish the fried calamari. We were just saving room for dinner but it was the attention to detail that was impressive. Will definitely be back! Waiters and waitresses were very attentive!
