Stayed coming and going. First room was not good. Labeled accessible, but somebody in a wheel chair couldn't cross the room it was so crowded with furniture. The patio had a step too. Also no microwave. Second room was miles better, more private and had a microwave, so ask when you reserve what is in the room you are getting.
This is one of the best locations in Ashland, only 4 blocks from the Shakespeare Festival, and easy walking to lots of restaurants. There are 4 buildings, the 2 newest have elevators. The oldest building does not have an elevator, but is closest to the pool and breakfast room and has a nice view. The breakfast is large and includes scrambled eggs and sausage. The rooms are very clean. My only complaint was the pillows were hard and lumpy.
Pros Rooms are well organized and clean. Charge ports in each bedside table. Plenty of warm lights to get ready or do work under. Linens were clean. Taller shower head for 6ft people with good water pressure. Plenty of TV channels to surf. Good toiletries provided. Larger sized fridge bonus for stuff you bring on the road or leftovers. The buffet was fantastic, lots to choose from and it is a clean and friendly space with attentive staff. Night manager/desk person was quick and efficient. Clean pool (next to the road though) so it can be loud) but it is contained by glass walls. Best proximity to downtown events and restaurants. Cons Rooms are close together so you'll get some neighbor noise Main windows face walkway so if you want privacy you'll be shut in with the blackout curtains and without much natural light. The AC unit in my room was not working so the room was on the warm side at night, this may just be a one room problem.
This was a perfect place to stay for our two days in Ashland. We did not need our car for anything we wanted to do. Within walking distance of everything. And dog friendly. |The staff was most helpful. The room was well appointed, clean and quiet. Breakfast was included and the coffee was great. |We would not hesitate to stay here again.
I will say that the bed was comfortable. but, I called a while back and told someone I wanted a first floor room or one accessible by elevator. Behold, there were none available and of the buildings that have elevators, only one was working. There were no handicapped spots in the lot either. I believe this is a fine-able offense. There also were not enough parking spots for rooms. Maybe lining the parking lot would help because people left to their own devices don't know how to park properly. Your front desk was rude and didn't really care what I had to say. just "sorry" I was hoping when the Bard became a Best Western again, it would be better. It's worse. I'll find somewhere else to stay next time I'm in Ashland.||
Great location - very walkable to all things Ashland. Decent breakfast options, Keurig in room, good front desk. Our housekeeper was awesome and very sweet. Beds are a little soft and they must replace the slippery comforters - it kept falling to the floor all night. Other guests were a bit noisy - loud talking in the early a.m. and late night, but you take that with a grain of salt at a motel. 😉
The staff was professional and polite at check-in. The front desk gave suggestions to local restaurants and helped me find things to do in the area. The room was fantastic and had a wonderful view of the downtown area. I will be coming back.
Spent a lovely weekend with the wife and dogs in this amazing place. Just on the edge of main street . Very walkable to alot of fun places . Parks and neighborhoods close by for walking. Alot of historic houses to see around. Wineries as well.

We had an excellent, comfortable stay here. Room was modern, clean, spacious and well appointed, with a fridge and microwave, and lots of counter top space as well as a chair and a chaise. Their breakfast was good, with options for everyone includin
This hotel was perfect for me. I travelled, unbeknownst to me, on the eve of a storm to this motel, planning to stay there as a waypoint on my journey south. There a kindly young woman was waiting at the front desk to greet me, and I found I was one
We had a great time! The theme and puzzles were entertaining and just the right amount of challenging. Thanks Eden for being the perfect âbar tenderâ host!
Drop everything and get to Ashland ASAP to dine at MÃS. I am a food inspired traveler, and have spent the past 10 years of my life exploring every corner of the USA and the world for the best dining experiences. I have dined at many 1, 2, and 3 Mich
This theater is incredible. There's not a bad seat in the house. It's worth every penny to see shows here. We are seeing The Three Muskateers and it's a true gem. Wine and beer, popcorn and cookies are all sold inside and can be taken to your seat.
I had such a lovely experience!! This was my second time coming in, and I brought my grandma with me. She visited from Portland, and I wanted to do something special with herâ¦.tea time! We had the complete queenâs service with the gorgeous tiered
Attended a wedding at this charming venue, and it was an absolute delight! The location exuded beauty, creating the perfect backdrop for the celebration. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff and owners were incredibly
Just wow! Recently discovered this place and I can't say enough about how great it is! The breakfast burrito is absolutely delicious and massive. The special I had today was a pomegranate pork burrito, which was incredibly unique and tasted amazing.
Such a cute shop! Drinks were made quickly and staff were lovely. There are a bunch of board games, creating a perfect environment for playing games with friends. Drinks were lovely, recommend adding the passion fruit dolphins.
Cozy winery in a beautiful setting, along with great wines (so good we bought five bottles on our first visit). Special shoutout to Tanner, our tasting room host, who made us feel so welcome. Will definitely be back!
